Exotic weapons aren't as useful as they seem. I have the "Super Good Advice" Exotic Machine Gun and it's recoil is so bad that it can only be fired in 1 to 3 round bursts - otherwise you will miss your target and waste 75% of your ammo (58 bullets full magazine). My Genghis "rare" machine gun has far lower recoil and frankly is a better Machine Gun.

This shit is absurd. Mind you, I'm not knocking people with a ton of time played, just the people with an equal amount of time complaining..

Yes. Thank you. I did the weekly nightfall today with a friend of mine, and we tried it twice (died the first time, passed it a second time) and it took us a total of about an hour and a half/two hours to finish. My other friend got online when his health was at about 3 quarters of the way down and he asked for an invite to help out. I said "why not?". The primary reason we played the strike today was because I found out you can earn exotics and legendaries from beating it so I got really excited and just had to do it. Well, my excitement soon turned to sheer anger and devastation when I found out that my friend who joined in late, who only played the strike for a total of about 10 minutes, who also didn't get a single kill the entire game, got the Suros Regime, and I, who came up with the idea of doing it in the first place, who used a really good strategy that helped us out a lot, who also contributed the most to finishing this mission, got 11 ascendant shards. Really? Are you kidding me Bungie? Seriously? You made a reward system that's this pathetic? Normally, I probably would've accepted those shards if I wasn't in it for an exotic or legendary. That was the ONLY reason why I played that entire strike and wasted almost 2 hours of my life, was to get a pretty good gun or piece of armor that I don't already have, and I get ascendant shards. This is absolutely unacceptable. If I wanted shards, I'd do the daily story missions on 3 different characters. No, I'm not crying about it, or being a baby. I'm frustrated that I keep putting hope into this game, giving it chance after chance and hoping to get some form of reparation for my efforts and I keep getting shot down out of the sky just before I break the atmosphere. I'm so close to just being finished with this game. If Xur doesn't have an exotic primary on Friday (besides Bad Juju) for his weapon, then I'm just done playing this game for a while. I've been using the same gear since the first weekend of the games release, and it's getting far too annoying to continue with the gear any longer. This game has 1 week to fulfill at least 10% of what I expected from it, else I'm most-likely finished. And don't even get me started on what happened with the exotic bounties today. That made me so mad, I had to shut my game off and sit on my porch for a while to try and recollect myself. I'm not going through the whole story, but essentially, me and my friend (the one who got the Suros Regime. This was after the strike) got exotic bounties. I got to choose from Bad Juju, Super Good Advice, and the fusion rifle. What did he get to choose from? The Invective, The Last Word, and another weapon of which he doesn't know the name of, nor did he even tell me the name of the bounty for me to look it up. That's absolutely ridiculous. They said this game is completely random, but I doubt it. Because I win 9 out of every 10 games of crucible that I play, this game probably sees me as a person who doesn't need any better gear because I'm clearly thriving without it. My friend, who gets bottom or near the bottom of the leaderboards almost every game we play, is getting all of these magnificent weapons and armor, and I'm just here with my Silvered Hushwind-D that I've had since day 4. The only exotic I have I bought for 24 motes of light... People keep bragging about all these legendaries and exotics they have, well, WHERE THE -blam!- ARE MINE???

Firstly, I have no Exotics at all. No weapons, no armor. Just getting that out there. Secondly, if Legendaries are any example, then they will be extremely difficult to fully level up anyway. I have Legendary armor that I can't upgrade, and when my weapon unlocks all of the attack slot values I won't be able to upgrade to them either, all because the materials needed are vanishingly rare for me to find. Blues upgrade in a FAR more efficient and likable manner. So far upper tier gear has, for me, seemed overhyped and of less value than its rarity would suggest.
