Let's face it, when it comes to armor and weapons most players are going to go with whatever protects them the best, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't have a choice what their armor and weapons looks like. I can't tell you how many times I've come across a set of armor or a gun that I really liked but how to eventually move on to a different set because I needed better protection or to deal more damage. And yes, while the game does give you the CHANCE to find the same armor and weapons you already have with higher stats, it just doesn't happen frequently enough for you to feel like you're in control of your gaming experience.
I think it would be great if in one of the upcoming dlcs or patches Bungie would add a store in the tower that would allow us to combine the look/style of one item with the stats of another. And when I say items, I'm mainly talking about armor and weapons, but while we're on the subject, why not find a way to make it work for consumables, and Sparrows, and Ships as well??? This would give players more control over their abilities to customize their guardians and give the game a better feeling of diversity and make the gameplay a lot more enjoyable.
Here's an example of one game that did this very well to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about in case I haven't explained myself very well.

Hopefully you guys at Bungie read this and take it into consideration. Thank you!

Yes exactly, I really liked the Helmet I had around lvl 18-20 I think, had to ditch it to continue leveling up. There needs to a better disconnect between looks and stats or every single player is going to have identical armor just because that's the only armor getting them to the current light level.

Editado por Crazybaker: 9/18/2014 3:33:18 PMIf u want this so bad go play maple story. What u look like has nothing to do with gameplay. Besides this is a fps. Most of the time u can't even see urself. Do u just stare at the inventory screen? Who u trying to impress? The person who messaged u saying they were a hot girl? If u believe that I have a nice bridge in brooklynn u can buy

They really need to add vanity slots. This also gives a lot of additional options for event rewards. What are they going to do a x-mas? Green and red shader reward?

1 RespuestaAgree. It's starting to become where everyone has the same gear & copies of eachother. Aside from the color difference due to shaders.... Would like to have my own look...how can you become your own legend if you look like everyone else.
-
Vanty slots would be a simple solution. One spot equip your gear you want for looks, the other slot equip gear for stats, but you only see the gear in the Vanity slots. Even better would be to ear wardrobe appearance, so when you get new items you get sort of a card that you can use to make any gear look like that, and it wont take up inventory space. like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5dTUdS1nsk

Editado por Mr Nive: 9/30/2014 3:31:00 PMYes, the cool strike armor is only rare but look pretty good. I want to use them but they are worse than my current legendary armor. Definitely would be nice to have as an option. EDIT: Had an "argh" moment when looking at the Ps timed exclusive armours you get from doing strikes.... they look awesome but are just rare armour. They look way better than the legendary gear I'm using and I really want to use them.

1 RespuestaHunter armor from the crucible vendor looks stupid as hell.

1 RespuestaI can solve this problem for developers in a flash, make all values/stats/upgrages inserts. Problemo solvo. Also make shaders optional on each piece of equipment for greater customization.
-
i agree this should be in game

Have it cost glimmer to do. I'll at least have a use for it.

It's okay. Armor rating before style, man.
