I love this game. It's soo easy to pick up and play. Bungie have outdone themselves. I can see the reasons people have had doubts early on but the more I see of the game the more the potential and greatness of this game stand out!

Hopefully the people who dislike the game will just sell it and move on lol, Gets annoying I want to see actual posts about the game not some kid complaining because he thought destiny would get him laid or something lol.

Its far from a master piece, im sorry but I probably played more games than any of you during my life time, and from everything I seen here, its like a bare bones borderlands thats currently in a W.I.P. I give it a 7/10 which is generous. But it needs alot of work before all the reviews bash at it again. Keep in mind all those lukewarm or negative reviews were written for a reason, whatever misconceptions your fanboyism is blinding you to, you gotta understand, even Bungie can make mistakes, and its really bad to on their first game since leaving Microsoft, I pray none of the reviewers really pushes the bullet in the wound and comments that "Bungie seems to be suffering without Microsoft to back them." I really would hate to see that, because I hate Microsoft, I hate em almost as much as EA. So I really hope Bungie picks it up, and not only balances PVP, but also take a better direction with the PVE. Bungie tried to innovate, but in the end they just didnt do enough.

Yes! This game has me hooked and I can't even think of wasting my time with any other game right now. It's freakin awesome!

You don't even understand destiny or the concept enough to try constructing anything even remotely resembling an argument, only one whining here is you. Fact of the matter is Destiny suffers an identity crisis, it's got the repetetive mechanics of a shooter, but the grind of an MMO... the system is setup to allow for single player loot (i.e, no trading), which should let bungie tweak drops and things to something appealing, but Destiny is as dry as you'd see in a game where trading was freely available (Wherein those types of games, loot has to be incredibley rare to avoid the market flooding). Innovation doesn't make a game a masterpiece, the ambition is all there but the execution.. as much as I HATE to say it.. something feels off about it. That said, I'm not saying Destiny is inherently a bad game either, you only need to look through one of the levels to see the attention to detail, the balancing between the classes and guns are pretty solid.. just it seems to take the stale mechanics of a shooter for its core gameplay, but then sticks you with the stagnant grind of a mmo for loot, yet you look at similar games like borderlands, you get loot and rewards all the time, it drives you on to play. Destiny seems to gear itself for a long term slog, and that's all well and good, but it lacks the appeal to draw people in for that length of time, MMO's have their complex boss mechanics and hotbars full of skills for example, but Destiny is fairly basic shoot the head dodge the rocket / special, reload, repeat until dead (and the differences between one boss and the next is the amount of hp they have) PVP in the crucible is fun, but i don't think it can carry the game the way it needs to, and aside from the weekly challenges where they take a strike or mission and jazz it up with all sorts of wierd and wonderful modifiers ( a bit like the old Halo Skulls), I'm really beginning to doubt whether I'm going to be 'hooked' into this long term enough for the concept, a evolving game, to maintain any sort of relevance with me.. I'm just really hoping that the raid is something special, and that that's where all the challenge, skill and appeal is hiding..

The gameplay from levels 1-20 I give a 10/10. The story however I give a 4/10. The game after lv 20 I give a 6/10. In this early stage there just isn't enough unique things to do after a while. And a lack of randomness in things like enemy spawns, chests, and boss battle strategies really break immersion and make the world not feel real. Also the loot itemization is a little broken at the moment. Maybe in a year the game will be worth it with all the changes and new content.
