Look I understand they can get annoying sometimes, but if it wasn't for video games when I was younger I would have been out on the streets doing who knows what, so if video game keep the squeakers from become young thugs and doing vandalism and drugs and going to Juvey or jail, then I really don't care if there on the server
So you adults with superiority complex disorder over the children of this age, suck it up n deal with it, their having just as much fun playing video games as much as you may be.
Sincerely~
Someone with common sense

My only problem is... Parents... If its rated mature don't buy it for your 10 year old. ..It drives me crazy

Actually, there's a huge difference between the mainstream "gamers" today between the ages of 8-15. Many of these people have been exposed to games that breed a very, very impatient and ignorant disposition toward games. Anything that doesn't explode big enough, have the most perks, or advocate obnoxious in-game communication isn't a "good" game any more. So, yeah, kids are rather misguided currently, I suppose. They'll never know what a LAN party is, never experience what older gamers have, or have reverence toward the game industry to any notable degree at all. It's kind of sad, when one considers the amount of care put into many of these newer games that just gets disregarded and unappreciated by these (mostly) ignorant young gamers. That said, there is a minority of gamers in this age group that actually does give a -blam!-, but it's very rare to tap. In addition, I do realize as consumers in the game industry we are not obligated to "appreciate" anything. Regardless, I will always take the time to think about the work and the mechanics that went into the thing that occupies my spare time for so very long. To each his own, unfortunately.

Good thing I turned to drugs AND video games.

I've heard 12 year olds curse out other people, call them derogatory terms, and act like they're all high and mighty. I would have been killed for doing that.
-
I replied to another gamer on here and Ill repost it here. Its not about the age and have a type of voice, Its mainly bc people want to find something against anyone and everyone that is flawed to make them feel better about themselves.

Back in my day we could play video games in the snow, uphill both ways, without shoes, and still find time to be in the streets joining gangs! Because in my day we had something called dedication! Where am I, and what is this contraption in typing on?
-
I have some that should just delete there account. I am 14 by the way

heh. Yeah, I definately agree with you. Video games are a much healthier outlet than what some of the alternative options could be. I don't mind playing with children, to a degree. Although a person in theory could limit their exposure to what age range of children they play with, I would rather limit the specific individual rather than the age range. I'd love it if there was a rating system per guardian, that would be totally optional, that you got to view when you're looking at the stats of someone who's not in your party. Person could be literally the best gamer on your console, I'm not going to want them in my party if they're a douchebag, regardless of age. Sad thing is with this kind of system, I could see it being way abused.

Im fine with them playing online, but their brains are not fully developed. So they do not truly know what the consequences of what they are doing sometimes. Of all the time I have played Halo, I never saw and adult leave in the middle of a game because they could not get any points. With kids, I see it happen about once a week. And now I have one less team mate to help our team win.

1 RespuestaSo am I (18) part of this generation that so many people complain/argue about? I don't believe I have done anything to be generalized with certain people of this generation classified as "immature, selfish, a**holes." To be completely honest, I haven't found all of the younger people to be annoying. Sometimes when I am in lobbies, (I mostly play GTA 5) people get ridiculed by older people because they have a "squeaker" voice or they say their age through a mic. I do think that a good percent of these people shouldn't be playing online, but some of them actually attempt to play the game correctly but get judged/insulted by older players that believe that they should not be there because of their age. Some people have a low maturity level regardless of their age. I have only played mature games for a couple of years now, (never been interested in them before) but I would hate to be generalized in this way if I had gotten in to them when I was younger. I do believe that most of the younger players in these games shouldn't be playing them, but the people who insult them just because of their age/voice are just as bad or even worse. My suggestions in situations with ignorant players are to agree to kick them or to mute them/leave. This problem is not going to go away, so if you are having trouble with other players, just find a mature way to deal with it. I'm not trying to offend anyone. I'm just trying to illustrate my opinion on this situation.

I don't "hate" on these kids. But when a parent needs video games to take care of there kids for them, that's when you get these kids online that swear and disrespect... nobody who is just starting puberty should be talking like that without discipline.

Editado por bjw: 9/8/2014 12:39:14 PMIts not playing with young adults and teenagers being the problem, it's the attitude that they lash out with with cursing and saying very disrespectful things towards others that make it difficult to enjoy playing, I myself played since I was 5 back in t he NES days and never once told someone to go kill their mother or you suck and die you fibbish d*ck. I don't get why those that hide behind the console or keyboard feel the need to act that way. Its not really just teenagers or young adults it's some that are in the 20's and even 30's
Ill play with anyone as long as they carry them selves with repsect and want to have fun
Just saying this current generation has be raised by the people bitching about them. Pretty Ironic.

I don't have anything against them, but when i think i'm playing with Mature players at the time, they plug in their mics and i hear that ''Squeaky'' voice and most of the time that just ruins the game for me.

3 RespuestasAm I the only one here who doesn't mind kids? Everyone always exaggerates when they describe how annoying they are. Most of them are cool, its just a few that ruin it for all of them. On Xbox, I find more of the older guys to be annoying. They're the ones that won't shut up. When your in a lobby and you call a kid out for having a high pitched voice, of course they're going to react belligerently. People need to remember that they were a kid once as well.

31 RespuestasEditado por o______________o: 9/7/2014 3:49:15 AMI don't hate on kids. In fact I have two daughters of my own whom I love with all my heart. But the matter of the fact is that until you reach the age of 17, you are biologically immature. You lack the capacity for rational thinking. Your mind remains delusional. You lash out at others while simultaneously thinking you are mature and different from other kids. Therefore children should not be allowed to play violent video games until the age of maturity activation.

This would make a great topic for a Web show!

Here's something to think about: You can't tell how old someone is just through text. It's real easy for someone young to walk in here and act dumb. The best that can be done is give them a positive impression on how to behave. What kids lack the most is the experience that will lead to better understanding, providing that for them in a manner they can absorb will help them.

25 RespuestasYou kids today are so soft. "Waaah, I don't want to go out on the streets. I don't want to join a gang.. Let me stay inside and play gamestation!" I've never been so disappointed in a generation since after the war. And another thing Get off my lawn!!

3 RespuestasI am a member of this generation and I've no faith in it. When there are people graduating from one of the better public schools in a well-off district of San Antonio not knowing how to spell simple shit like "choose" I've officially given up. And that's not even the worst! In lesser sides of town the Rachet community has completely taken over...

29 RespuestasShut up. The issue is not that at all. Our problem is with the young little dolts that cry and moan on the mic. The ones who make silly and immature comments. The ones who actually have either thought of, or who actually do attempt swatting. The snobby twats who only care about graphics. The ones who literally cry when made fun of lightheartedly. Please read this next part carefully. Nothing would bring more joy to my heart than to see every last one of these kids on the streets. These are the people who deserve time in prison- if for no other reason than to humble them a bit. There is no superiority complex. 12 year olds contribute nothing to society. That's a fact. Adults feel superior because we are. We don't act like it, we just are superior- in every way shape and form. The fact that you're writing the way you are suggests you've been hounded for some of these very issues. It's fine. Give it a decade. You'll look back on this period in your life and cry, knowing how much of a dipstick your generation really was, then you'll send me a thank you letter sealed with a kiss. I'll receive it, and then burn it without opening. That's how much I loathe you 12 year old clowns.
exaggeration, but still reflects my feelings. Dweeb.
