What I dont get is why would you need a Destiny 2? Since its 100% online only play, you would figure the disc should remain the same. what other content would be needed on the disc?

Because it's probably going to be a next-generation game only, which means updated resolution and frame rate, as well as new content. That's like saying why would you buy Halo 2 when you already own Halo CE. Why can't they just add content to CE?

Not everyone is going to want to fork out $399 2-5 years from now just for destiny... Was Halo CE 100% online play/access only , or could you do "offline" single player? ( never had it I only played halo 3 and 4 ) That's the comparison to destiny. Heck you can't even mod your character unless your connected to Destiny and psn server

I'm pretty sure Last gen won't be supported anymore in 2-3 years, it's pretty close to end of life.
-
Its on last gen because Destiny was in development way before next gen. But, now with next gen out, and the fact they only get 2 years to make, theyll make the rest of the Destiny series next gen only. Which is why they made it so your character can transfer from old gen to next gen as long as its same network Ie PS3->PS4 And 360->1 That way, we can enjoy Destiny on old consoles and then come when its about time we upgrade, then we can enjoy 2 with our same characters.

It's on last-gen to make money and because it can be. In the next few years, all games will be next-gen exclusive. If you don't want to fork over $400, you won't be able to play it. It's that simple.

I read that MS will be supporting the 360 for another 6 years, then that's it.
-
Yeah, just like how Activision was supporting PS2 until 2013. It doesn't matter, games will start to be made exclusive on current-gen very soon.

Did they really say that? It makes little difference to me, I've pretty much put the 360 to bed now, anyway. Only turn it on occasionally for Skyrim and Gears.
