So we're not gonna base this on abilties... or the fact that since this good sir here has no clue of the last three characters he jsut discredited them... considering the last three in the fight would most likely end up being those three.... the sheer speed of those 3 cant be matched... and Goku and Naruto have toppled over the equivalent of gods... call me a fanboy... but you are wrong

I'm not going to waste my time with three mary sue fantasies that are gag me with a spoon bad. I've seen all three of those Animes. I find them an insult to imagination and my internal suspension of disbelief broke after: 3 episodes of Bleach, 1 Episode of Naruto, and exactly 5 minutes of Dragon Ball Z. When shows are that bad, I'm not going to waste my time on them, nor am I going to reserve any respect towards them.

Never said I liked it. Didn't like the character and didn't like the story. Didn't say he was specifically a mary sue either.

What I said specifically was Mary Sue Fantasies. I didn't label out all three characters as mary sues. 2 out of the three characters specifically have heavy attributes of Mary Sues. One is the epitome definition of a Mary Sue. All three story fantasies are heavy with Mary sue-isms, as well as misinterpretations of background, such as Ninjas. They weren't very honorable, worked for money, and were often from farming communities. Sure they have skills out the whazoo, but looking up to Ninjas isn't as good a thing as most people think it is. They were hired killers, with one simple mindset, kill for money, and lots of it. Naruto just kinda...Annoyed the piss out of me. Maybe I just caught it at a bad episode or something, but it left a bad taste in my mouth and I haven't had the urge to pick it up and try again.

Naruto undergoes constant pain and struggle maturing greatly the entire series more so shippuden . The have never claimed to be honorable the opposite in fact. Only the people they saved or helped looked up to them. Btw to let u know NEVER watch Naruto in English .! The actor Sucks and "Believe it!" Is the stupidest thing ever , he says " DattaBayo" which is just a mumble like uh or um or you know?. Only ever watch in Japanese w subtitles . Much less annoying even though u read. TRUST me

The only part of Naruto (best part IMO) that resembled the Ninja was The Land of Waves Arc (right after the 6 silly intro episodes), where the theme was "what is a ninja?" after that it slowly but surely grew to major fantasy zone (but it is a fantasy after all). The ninja were different clans of farmers who did what they had to do to survive, under the iron fist if the shogun and samurai. It was the feudal age, honor was pretty subjective (technically even now) and every groups way of doing thing was different. Their "un honorable" ways, tactics of stealth, slight of hand, reserved nature, unorthodox weapons, etc. created many myths, which the show, Naruto, turned into superhuman fact. The Ninja tactics originated from monks that taught farmers how to defend themselves and much more. Hence the way of the ninja has origins from Buddhism (or so is concluded), Which the Naruto emulates from more of than the ways of stealth, with the characters reaching god-like powers slowly but surely (also Shintoism as we'll). Your, not going to like Naruto, it can be as bad as DBZ (heck it was inspired by it) but if curiosity gets the best of you, I recommend the land of waves arc.

Being related to the former Okinawan Shogunate and a few Samurai clans I can say without reservation...Noooo thank you. Got enough just reading about the history of Japan to know I want very little to do with it.

Noooot really. Japanese from the Mainland (Japan Proper) Tend to look at Okinawans as second class citizens even today. Mostly because we're a mix of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese all wrapped up in one bundle. It kinda sucks but eh. Live with the cards dealt. I don't live there, and am happy in Arizona.

Cute. You're getting butt hurt because someone doesn't like your shows. From a writer's stand point, every single one of these has bad faults. Just that some have fewer faults than others, while at least one (yours) apparently has no faults what-so-ever and is perfect in every way in his little universe. Very definition of a Mary sue. Won't waste the breath it takes to speak his name. I'll focus on the ones that have at least a middling amount of plausibility about them. Even if they are based in myth.

If makin $ hand-over-fist in another country 17 years after the show stops running after being the highest watched and rated show there and STILL is , I wouldn't think it's a no-no to write that little ditty.

So Goku, who came from a villainous planet, that was destroyed after he was born gets sent alone to a foreign planet after his parents die, is forced to survive on his whole childhood... then grows up and has to constanly defend a foreign planet and keep pushing past the limits of power.... .... Plausibilty.... and i'm not butthurt.. i'm just informing you that you're wrong and uncreative... try to credit writers... but then call someone a Mary Sue.. you sir a paradox... and applaud your will to be insatiable

That's not plausibility. Plausibility means that there is a capacity for it to happen in reality or that it holds a basis in reality. There are restrictions to power, there are inescapable truths death chief amongst them. No one, not even Kratos can escape death. Should he die, he shall cease to be. Captain Mary Sue dies repeatedly and just comes back because...Jazz hands? Sorry but no. That's Mary Sue to the max. That's BORING. A guy who is all powerful and can't die? No thanks, there's no danger there. There's no consequence to his actions. That is a sin. You think I'm unimaginative, yet you defend a character who literally chooses to go "Nah brah, I ain't dying." No thanks.

Plausibility has nothing to do with how possible it is for something to happen in real life (If that's what you mean). Regarding your discussion with Huff about the anime characters, the question at hand is who of these characters is more probable to win in [b]combat[/b], personal preference is irrelevant. Considering all of these characters and their abilities, Goku is probably the one to win, though idk much about Kratos except for the fact that he kills gods, I think? Anyway, have a good day both of you, I care little about discussing with people who insult what they don't like

i more said it because you had the gall to mention plausibilty.... and I'm defending a character that even in death refuses to give up.... I'm not attacking Kratos.. he's interesting... but in a fight he couldnt touch Goku... thats what the question is... you keep belaboring non-sequential points .... and use uncreative remarks to detail your oppinion .. not to mention no one is validating your "Mary Sue" thing because it's corny... It's not that i don't think you are or are not creative.... but your mental wherewithal isn't to a creative point to defend yourself in the context of the original debate...
