I played both classes during the beta; In my opinion, the warlock's super kicks ton more Ace than the hunters.
One flaw (advantage) I noticed with the warlock class that the Hunter gets shafted on, is that when you use Golden Gun, you float in the air for a moment and can get killed. This uses your super and it's gone. Which I think is fair, that was bad timing on your part.
However, with the Warlock; you can use your super, go through the motions of throwing the bomb, and then get killed right before it leaves your hands. BUT you don't get your super taken away.
Honestly, I think this should use it, it's not really fair... Technically you used it, just not early enough.
I'm a warlock, and plan to stay that way, but I just found that this was a flaw or an unfair advantage the Warlock gets in PVP. The way I see it is, the Warlock super is pretty much a guaranteed kill. As long as you don't throw it into a wall like I always seemed to do by accident.

There are pros and cons to both. The Golden Gun is a more precision-based super than the Nova Bomb, so a benefit can be seen of [relatively] easier use. However, as in the previous point, it is easier to hit your mark with the Golden Gun, compared to the Nova Bomb. Both are instantaneous kills should you hit your mark, so there is no contrast there. But, straying from the direct comparison between the GG and NB, there are alternatives to both classes' supers via other foci, should players find distaste in these supers.

Same with the Titan.
so stop comparing the classes they are all equal in a way
1 RespuestaAgree with warlock and titan losing their super, just like Hunter, when offed during power up

Well considering we know of a sub class for each character there could be even more skills that are way better, and lets not forgot the very good chance of a 3rd sub class that we don't even now what the skills read as. Having only seen 3 supers used( one on each character) and knowing there could be 6 more that non of use have used are self, we have yet to know what is truly the best till full launch.

2 RespuestasSo. hold on a second. You said you used the super, but then were killed before it left your hand? If the super never left your hand, then you didn't actually use it. So obviously you wouldn't get it taken away. Also with hunter you have three separate shots that can be fired after activating your super. with warlock your activation is your firing sequence. If the problem you're running into is that activating your hunter super in the middle of a firefight causes you to die, then maybe you should consider the fact that your super is a gun and not activate it at such close range.

4 RespuestasO.o Hunter super is fine, you have the potential to get 3 kills with it, before upgrades. The hunter super isn't really designed to be activated while under fire. It's designed to be activated under cover, then you pop out and get 3 kills one after the other. If you do die while activating it, you deserve to lose it in my opinion. Warlock super on the other hand is Aoe, so if you're trying to use it against a group (like it's designed to be used) then you're a lot more likely to die. So it makes sense, that you wouldn't lose it. Also like you said, it's actually pretty easy to whiff the Warlock super, some people don't realize that.

Hunters have the advantage of activating their ability then running into position and even moving to hit with it. I don't want to hear it. Warlock it's all or nothing, I whiffed so many supers into walls or the floor, it's unreal.

8 RespuestasEditado por Honorable Sniper: 8/2/2014 9:40:22 PMThe Warlocks and Titans also get a small period of Invulnerability as its cast. so you cant kill them if its cast. As a titan it was my Get Out of Jail free card. Just before I lose a gun fight against 1 or multiple people I smash the floor, I live everyone dies. If I were a Hunter, i would have to wait til I could shoot. And the whole time I can be killed and miss my shots. There needs to be some balancing, tweaking of the Warlocks and Titans. Unless thats what they intended. Sidenote: I dont understand how someone can disagree with OP or what im saying. I can only assume they mean well but just arent getting it.

Warlocks can't run around with their super in their hand. It needs to be primed so its fair.

2 RespuestasAfter 60 hours of beta play, I must say I disagree with you completely. The supers have 2 different uses, and should be used in 2 different situations. This does not make one better than another.

1 RespuestaThe "one thing" they get shafted on? It's a super ability. It should be easy to kill you with. Stop trying to ruin a perfectly good hunter ability. Hell if you believe the rest of what you said is true, don't hunters deserve the edge on one thing?
