And it upsets me, there is something about Destiny that is lacking and I can't quite put my finger on it. I find more and more things that annoy me about the game. Things like the constant reloading of weapons, ie. not having enough magazine space for bullets. All the rifles sound the same. The 30fps lock is noticable. I heard the level cap is 20, is this a joke? To me it seems the game will turn into an item driven rather than a content driven experience.
That lack of interactivity between players, The Tower is supposed to be a "social hub" but all you're able to do is 4 animations and kick a football. The lack of true customisation, shaders will not cut it. The lack of true free roam, it's boring and grindy with lack of things to do after missions. I don't want to be the suckered into another hyped up game and find it fall terribly short. (watch dogs was the same, high expectation, low yield in terms of final product)
Am I wrong?
EDIT: Seems like people are taking my opinion as a personal insult. Apologies if I hurt your feelings, and such. Yes, it's a beta, and yes these are first impressions from what I'm experiencing and formulating an opinion based on it.

Keep in mind it's only the Beta, it's just a glimpse of the game.

The level cap is a soft cap, there is levels after that that make you progress horizontally. Also levelling was like 200% faster in the beta, itll take more than a day of playing to get 20 in live. You do raise some good points, I would of liked to see text chat inputted into the tower along with a way to check reputation out in the field. With respect to free farm most of old russia was sealed off because beta be beta. Anyway thats just me and my input, goodluck with other games :)

I say yes, you are wrong, but that's cause I kinda enjoy the game. I actually didn't like playing with the titan class, because it seemed pretty straight forward and brutish, even if I was doing really well with it. So I switched to the hunter and decided to become an accuracy driven gunslinger, who needs to stay calm in order to continuously get headshots... And I do not deal with pressure easily... So that's pretty fun.

Yeah I hope they make it more social when the retail version comes out. That is for sure one part they are lacking on.

1 RespuestaYou won't be missed! It's your bad if you can't see destiny's greatness

Just seems to me your standards are too high.

2 RespuestasI didnt even feel like responding to this but i must... Ive always been a ps4 fan and honestly i dont like the way halo feels, good game but i dont like the feeling of the movements just not for me so i thought i may not like destiny. But notice you cant change the sensitivity of the controller, maybe its just cause the beta but at first i wanted it faster now i think its perfect Honestly the game has a perfect feeling when i play it the movements are so smooth, and even though im max level and its just a beta and i get no loot or xp out of playing i cant stop!!! So far im just playing for fun and i cant wait for the real thing!

It's cool. The beta made 2 friends of mine pre-order.
-
They have released a Beta, as commonly all games devs are doing in the last 5 years, just for testing purposes. I would reccomend not to takeany action before final release date.
-
Well, everyone can do their own thing. We are sorry to see you go, but I'm sure you'll be back! I'd at least try again after the update to the Beta, and see if you feel that thing it's lacking. Either way, good luck!

do you really think they made 10 year plan for game that has so little content? Level cap is nothing bro, I'm looking forward for what's there and endgame content. I agree with Tower though, for social hub, there;s no way to actually socialize.

4 RespuestasWhy people rage quitting over this beta? That's why they shouldn't have betas in the future and just say -blam!- it if you want to try the game go buy it bitches!! If you hadn't played the beta and went and bought the full game to play it would you be bitching right now? Someone make a poll on this lol.

2 RespuestasNope. You're not wrong. If you aren't happy with it, you did the right thing. It makes you happier and it leaves more server room for the rest of us. I think you did the right thing.

The good news is, there is nothing at all wrong with taking a break, giving it 6 months into release and watching what happens. No one should play a game they don't like but don't miss out on something that may get a lot better as it evolves. Just an over caffeinated .02 this AM.

6 RespuestasLol it is a beta you dumbass, why would they show their entire hand before game release. Lol Be one less complainer i guess.

2 RespuestasThe ignorance here is hilarious.

Not true! There's also a fan you can turn on!
-
1 RespuestaProblem with betas is that people judge full game. Beta is probable like 10% or less of the game dude. See you atlaunch.
-
5 RespuestasThe primary level cap is twenty, but if you explore enough you can gain items to get you past level twenty.
