This whole "lvl 8 cap" thing
Its rather upsetting, The alpha was up to level 8, the beta should be at least 12. Its apparent its up to level 8 because most of the streams show 7s and 8s. The beta is rather long compared to the alpha(lvl8 max). Why should this be up to lvl 8 only?
Im fully aware of the diablo-type loot system and the fact that it is only a beta. Im really hoping im wrong though. I made it to lvl 8 in les then 8 hours in the alpha :(
Any news on this?

At first the cap will be 8 but then after the maintenance days it will be raised

I agree that I would also like more gameplay out of the beta and the 8th level sounds really low but hey at least we get early access and cool stuff! So there's a silver lining.

6 RespuestasOr you could listen to mine and others theory that the real lvl cap won't be unlocked until the full beta is released to the public. The early access guys may only be able to go to 8, then once it starts it'll go up.

You were lucky to play the alpha... They aren't going to give you too much of the game before it releases. End of story. You hit the alpha cuz you were granted super early access to the beta. Be happy you get to play it again. Many others will be playing for the first time still.

All That i know, is that deej is a level 8 warlock on his profile.... So I'm not sure. Also, why are you upset? It is a beta. Calm down.

Lvl cap was like 21 or something like that I heard 12 is too low wen I saw alphas get to 8 fast as hell

Maybe they took the xp boost out so it will take longer to get to level 8 ... If it's still 8 this could be the reason

3 Respuestasdeej said in the stream that after the two day maintenance that the level cap will be increased as well as more content being added, but he didn't specify by how much and what. though there was a leaked photo of a mission on the moon, so they'll probably open that up.

They are adding two story missions and extra multiplayer maps to the beta. They can't let u lvl up too far before the full game releases that would give everything away. This is a chance for a whole lot more people to test Destiny out.

DeeJ had the Sunsinger subclass in his inventory during the live stream. Why would it be there if we are unable to use it.

Instead of the level cap. You should be worried that it will be challenging to level up to give gamers a challenge. More wow less cod.

I was watching a vid on YouTube I can't remember by who but I believe it said you can go to lvl 20 but I'm not all that sure..

I hope it's higher. If not I'll hit my gear ceiling and just be in the Crucible the rest of the time. Im hoping one of the surprises they keep talking about is dropping a lvl 20 char on our lap and saying go nuts. I want to know how that feels.

I think that was for early access people like ign and close family and friends of Bungie We should be able to go higher they level 8 in the beta
