I had a donation yesterday and afterwards I felt dizzy for a few hours until I fell asleep at like 6pm. It's now 2am and I just woke up to my heart beating really fast - while seemingly missing beats every so often - and a rather dull pain
It's odd to explain. But it's uncomfortable and I need to go back to sleep but I can't. Ever had something similar happen, Flood?

3 RespuestasI was forced to sign up for one in a week or two I hate blood so I'm pretty sure I'll pass out
-
I donate whenever possible and I've never felt dizzy
-
I generally don't donate unless someone I know personally is in need of it and my blood type would help them.
-
I just felt light headed after. Getting your blood sugar up is important. And keeping hydrated. I didn't passout though, wuss.

I'm not allowed to donate blood. I do have blood tests every year or so. I have never really felt any drowsiness afterwards, except for the time I passed out when I was 5 because they took too much blood. The only time I felt weird was when I had blood drawn every hour for a few hours; after that, I had an extreme amount of energy.

Screw blood donating!
u can haz muh blud wen im ded
Never donated blood myself, but sounds like you just need something to eat.
-
you need to eat a couple nice bowls of Total brand cereal, an orange, some cookies, and a glass of fruit juice. your body is trying to react to reduced sugar, iron, and oxygen levels in the blood, reducing your energy and ability to transport nutrients through out your body. you should restore these nutrients so that you can recover faster. it usually takes around 6 weeks for your bone marrow to replenish your red blood cells that you lose in a blood drive.

you're fine and imagining symptoms you goober

4 RespuestasDrink water, bake yourself some cookies. You'll be fine. If not, you may have some inability to produce blood as quickly or something of that sort and need to go see a doctor.
maybe I'm just talking bullshit and you should bake some cookies.
1 RespuestaIt's because your body is adjusting to a lack of blood. Eat, drink and move more. I'm pretty sure water should help as far as a short term solution. Good luck!

If you've never donated blood before then that doesn't sound too good

3 RespuestasDrink water and rest. You can't go back to sleep because you just slept for 8 hours.
