Why did he ask Adam and eve if they ate the apple?
He already knows that they ate it.
He already knows what they would have said if he asked them.
So why?

He was giving them a chance to tell the truth. There is merit in honesty.

3 RespuestasTime to provide you with an answer that makes sense: He was like a mother that asks her child if it ate all the chocolate even though it has chocolate all over its bloody face. Maybe he asked them so that if they would've admitted their crime he might forgive them or make the punishment less severe. Now, it is a fact that this god we all know and love is an asshole, so he might have just been toying around with his prey so that they felt bad about themselves before he brought the banhammer down on them. I am agnostic, but do believe in some of the norms and values that are taught to children by the bible. It's all about how you interpret the information that lays before you. That is all. THIS IS WHAT I KEEP SAYING I'm not edgy or anything, just curious. God is omniscient, right? Then shouldn't he know everything and it's outcomes before it even is supposed to happen?

3 RespuestasGod is not us with our logical thinking. He is perfect, we couldn't understand the magnitude or abundant grace He has displayed. We want results and answers and to be happy. He tells us we will suffer through trials for His glory. We want to think why would He create evil? There is no evil just as their no cold. Their is only His righteousness and our unrighteousness, their is heat and absence of heat. The words we've come up with to explain absence and pain can only be partially understood through it. Also please understand that He's not doing anything to us, He's doing it with us. He is a loving and gracious God for everyone.

1 RespuestaIt was a test, much like how God causes miscarriages and stillbirths to test parents because He loves them.
-
Women do the same damn thing.
-
The story of Adam and Eve is metaphorical, and that specific part of the story was to test their honesty.
-
If god is all knowing, he would have known when he created lucifer that he would have become the Devil, so why did god permit the devil to exist in the first place?
-
He was testing their integrity, to see if Adam and Eve would lie to him.
-
He was testing their integrity
-
Because god was actually just a turtle and adam and eve were just stoned off their bum for eating some wild berries.

8 RespuestasEditado por Morgan Freeman: 5/15/2014 12:29:16 AMIf God is truly all-knowing then people can't really have free will. Logically, if people had free will and God was all-knowing the most basic solution would be to say He knows all the possible outcomes of our decisions, however, if He's really all-knowing He'd also know which path the person was going to take before they took it, because you can't be all-knowing and not know something, meaning they were destined to perform that action. Therefore God knew Adam and Eve would betray Him and eat the apple, yet He still allowed it and cast them out of paradise anyway. Sounds like a total dick move.

1 RespuestaBecause he's a basic bitch.

He likes -blam!-ing with them.

Editado por vDimensions: 5/15/2014 10:46:47 PMHe is all knowing.... the reason he made a big deal out of it is because he wanted to set an example to them AND the entire world... that you should not listen to the devils temptations (he is all knowing so he knew that the Bible will come about and that millions will join Christianity)
-
Well technically, wouldn't he know that they would eat the apple in the first place then? God's just some jackass with a microscope. The biggest and best universal troll of there ever was one.

1 RespuestaGod IS all knowing. He allows for free will.

2 RespuestasTo test if they were lying.

Because he isnt real?

To see if they lie or tell the truth.

Because he knew you'd question his motifs.

24 RespuestasIf you ask someone a question when you already know the answer, why do YOU do that? To see what the person's answer is? Same with GOD, except He already knows. "If GOD already knows then why bother?" Well, perhaps GOD has to ask us the question, because it will set an event in motion because of the question being asked. And if the question was never asked, then said event never takes place. That's like saying "GOD knows how the world will end, as depicted in Revelation". Sure He does, but for the world to end the way He says it will, He has to take action. So GOD asking the question, is GOD actually taking action. MIND......BLOWN

No one understands what they claim to believe. You'll never get a legitimate answer to this because there isn't one.
