5 months into Next Gen how are those of you who bought a PS4 and or X1 feeling about the state of play?
I got both systems at their respective launches and while I'm happy with both I've found in recent months that, despite my initial preference for the PS4 I'm spending more time on the X1 due to Titanfall and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.
What's your experience thus far? Has your preference changed and if so why?
Oh and I know it's kinda impossible but please try to leave fanboyism at the door...

4 RespuestasPS4 and couldn't be happier. I'm looking forwards to some new games, and I hope PS+ gives out something more than a few indie titles soon (I am aware this isn't going to happen for a while) but other than that I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

Editado por Ukimoi: 3/29/2014 11:14:17 PMHave a PS4 and I'm satisfied, I'll be getting the Xbox One in the future and can't wait to play some of the exclusives.

Next gen hasn't been announced yet.

I am in the same boat as you. Titanfall and plants vs zombies are fantastic! Don't get me wrong Second Son has been quite fun, but now that it's finished... Back to the Xbone. PS4 is/was great. Everything so bright and shiny. But that wears off when there are not many decent games out on it.

I don't have any but I think the whole generation is meh. The Wii U tried to go after tablet gamers and failed hard. The X1 is underpowered, overpriced, and its core software and services are still in "beta test mode". The PS4 is better priced and marginally more powerful, but it's only a short matter of time until it hits a performance wall. Despite claims that this generation will last ten years, neither manufacturer did a good job of future proofing their hardware. We all saw how much developers had to scale back multiplat games like BF3 towards the tail end of the 360 and PS3's lifespan. I get the feeling that they're going to start doing the same thing a lot earlier in this generation.

1 Respuesta
5 months into Next Gen
How are they next gen when they're already out?

The One. I am interested in zero games on the 4. If someone hands me Infamous, that's probably the only game I'd be willing to play, and even then, I can skip out on it and be fine.

6 RespuestasYou're assuming everyone has bought at least one console.

it is the worts launch in my memory.both side.the online thing is a gimmick.it serve as an excuse to f*** us .that is how you wind up with unfinished games, unfinished consoles ,and very happy corporations.

I would have bought PS4 for sure if it wasn't for Halo 2 Anniversary.

2 RespuestasI love the PS4, and the graphics that come with next gen.........BUUUUUUT...... I really wish the gameplay was more next-gen. We haven't seen anything really all that different from the previous generation. It will probably come with time, but still, first impressions are important and neither console left a good first impression with their games.

9 RespuestasEditado por Amnesia: 3/29/2014 11:30:36 PMXbox One and not satisfied. It's a great console, but there's issues since it's new. The game library is still small, too. I wish they [game developers] would consider releasing more games in the Spring instead of making Fall the big season for game releases, but they do so for a reason.
-
Haven't got either still waiting.
-
Still on 360. There are no games that I want or desire yet.
-
PS4 and satisfied. Though I am in the mood for some competitive MP at the moment, and I don't have Shadow Fall.
-
Have both. Satisfied with both. Favor neither.
-
I'm happy with my ps4. I feel if I got an Xbox One I would also be happy.

From my experience and friends opinion, both consoles are amazing but currently are lacking games. Overall I'm happy with my PS4
