What about bows?!
Just two or three bows that are extremely rare and powerful would be exciting. Do you think bows should be in destiny? I think a couple of them could be really fun to use as a hunter. It adds to the stealthyness. I think that they wouldn't necessarily be in PvP but in campaign I think it adds to the whole explorer aspect of the game. And if you think about it they double as a sniper but silent.

1 RespuestaI'm totally down with Bows. Especially if they explain it properly, like it uses the Traveler's Light, or they are tipped with specific types of acids/chemicals and explode or penetrate armour with ease.

I think it would be an awesome weapon for the hunter. Maybe a legendary bestowed by the traveller powered by light... We can dream right :)

No bows are lame so far it seems like bow enthusiasts are romantacizing to much about that weapon it isn't gojng to add any extra feeling to the game except that of a cliche with all the future armour people are wearing I doubt that a bow is the most lethal source of killing power especially against the vex and for lazer bows that's stupdid as hell just pick up a lazer rifle and blast away.

Bows might rock, but considering Destiny takes place 700 years in the future... well it might not fit. But well... futurist bow for a hunter could be great.

Absolutely! Bows are fun weapons and challenging if at any point the game gets stale and boring you can always use a bow for fun or purely competitive to test your accuracy and precision.

No for the fact that without an atmosphere, arrows do not fly strait. Shooting it in space would cause the arrow to rotate on it's axis and spin (think helicopter blade) towards it's target, making it a useless weapon.

Crossbow is superior when arming the masses or looking to crank higher torque. Easy to use for masses. Less specific muscle strength / condition then compound bow. Now for use in destiny. Ehhh. Dont see it coming but u never kno. Gunpowder weaponry trumps anything requiring human force for stopping power.

Bows are deadly pieces of weaponry, and -EDIT- [i]with a skilled archer[/i], outclass crossbows any day. Of course, a untrained individual picking up a crossbow will easily be more efficient than the untrained one using a bow, but get a pair of skilled hands behind that bow, and they can pick you off from across a football field, if not further. Go watch some Recurve competitions. Mind=Blown.

I'd be down for a bow. It could make for a different way to play. Don't think they'd be very good in PvP matches but in the game it could be cool.
