Does anyone really believe they'd put Halo 2 MP in H2A? It'd be like Bestest Street Fighter IV including SFII multiplayer just because it's fondly remembered. They wouldn't turn the clock back on the series like that in such a massive way.
No, I know what we're getting with H2A:
Spartan Assault content. How hilarious/frustrating would that be?
This isn't all over every gaming site? Because of the lack of evidence?

1 RespuestaThere's and article on IGN right now about how they would have to recreate the Halo 2 mutiplayer as it was back. I think we might be in luck...
-
4 RespuestasThey don't even need to make an HD remake... Just port Halo 2 to Xbox One and reopen the Xbox Live servers. Sell it for $20 and people will buy the console + download the port. I don't know why Microsoft has refused to do this.

Editado por adamj004: 3/27/2014 7:01:27 PMDidn't they re-release street fighter II with online MP on the Xbox marketplace?

7 RespuestasI think if 343 wants to be successful in the eyes of the loyal fans of the franchise, they'll bring back H2 multiplayer. All I want to do, is play a ton of 1 Flag CTF Games on Terminal. I call Gauss Warthog.
-
Worst case scenario: - Just a HD skin on the campaign - "Multiplayer" is a Spartan Assault DLC - Price: $40

Spartan Assault content. How hilarious/frustrating would that be?

I dont think my sides could take it
-
1 RespuestaI figured it would just be a map pack like CEA.
-
1 RespuestaWell, shit. Just keep it with Bungie's multiplayer. No one want freaking Spartan Assault, that's a freaking ARCADEGame. We want the old, fun maps. Jesus, 343 is -blam!-ing crazy!
-
2 RespuestasI still think the 'multiplayer element' is just going to be Campaign Co-Op.
-
2 Respuestasi'm just confused. halo xbox one h2a remake. no other halo on xbox one. three likely options: 1) game does without multiplayer entirely [lolno] 2) game is a testing ground for halo 5's multiplayer engine [probably not] 3) halo 4 is to be ported to xbox one, and halo 2 will use that engine [i don't think this will be the case unless they heavily update the graphics engine to keep halo 4 on par with next gen, and i don't see them updating two games at once] 4) halo 2 has classic halo 2 mp [likely, the biggest reason cea would have failed in mp is because of netcode (ce bullets weren't hitscan remember); unlike halo ce, halo 2 had hitscan so it should be all good] [though i do wonder if they'll put in completely broken vanilla halo 2 or semi fixed autoupdate 1.1 halo 2]
-
It'll be even better now because CLOUDZ will allow for 6v6 with bots.

Editado por Legend To None: 2/27/2014 9:07:43 AMThey need to make a Halo 2 Anniversary with its SPECIFIC multiplayer otherwise it's not Halo 2. The cant mess with any glitches or mods. They should only kick people for modding or glitching in the matchmaking. All they gotta do for anniversary is just upgrade graphics with Halo 2 design (not halo 4. Design of Spartans) since Halo 2 Spartans are different then other games.
-
They're not going to release H2A until Halo Xbox One is released so they can use its multiplayer and force a map pack like they did with CEA.
-
1 RespuestaI find it hard picturing 343 making H2A. I mean .. really ... 343 + H2 multiplayer? na. Chances are if they made H2A with MP it would have garbage like loadouts and armor abilities in it ... basically the exact opposite of what Halo 2 represents.
-
I think many are expecting it. Halo 2 multiplayer is the more important aspect of the game. I don't care if someone is a huge story person, you have to admit that Halo 2's multiplayer is much more important to the overall playerbase, than campaign could ever be. Remaking Halo 2 without multiplayer would be like remaking the movie Titanic, without the Titanic.... I honestly can't see 343 doing Halo 2 without traditional mp. CE was understandable considering the game never had multiplayer over XBL. If Halo 2 launches this year it'll be the only FPS Halo title on XBL for the XB1. Their would no point in not adding MP. Us XB1 players need that Halo mp void filled.
-
If they want me to buy Xbox One it's a must.
-
If rumors are true I hope they do include it's own multiplayer, Halo 2's multiplayer is why the game was so popular the MP is a huge part of Halo 2's name. Microsoft would make a lot of money and it would sell a lot of Xbox One's I think and it would also be a positive focal point for future Halo games as they would see how the community reacts, yeah there is a high demand for the return of classic halo in furture halo games but MS and 343 would see it in physical practice of how the community reacts to classic halo in this day and age. I'm not at all familiar with the technical side of things but surely they could make it work, couldn't they?
-
If it doesn't include its own standalone multiplayer, they know they will lose thousands of fans, and they don't have enough remaining people to afford that.
-
apparently it will be a long-term beta for halo 5's if the game is even coming out which is awesome
-
If they reintroduced an untouched Halo 2 multiplayer for the anniversary there would be no reason to release another halo game ever again.
-
16 RespuestasIt's called Halo 2 Vista or use XBC to play. I still do
-
They would probably find some way to ruin the ported multiplayer anyways. Plz no.
-
14 RespuestasEditado por Folk: 2/25/2014 8:28:56 AMIf H2A is real, I can almost guarantee that it would include OG MP My reasons are that HCEA inclusion of HR MP was a failure and they know that... It offended Halo players as much as REACH and 4 I also believe they will include OG multiplayer to attract Halo players back to the series, in preparation for H5. On the other hand if it doesn't include OG MP, they won't be receiving my money.
-
4 RespuestasThere's no way they'd split the population.
-
2 RespuestasJust out of curiosity did the neogaf leak say anything about MP?
-
1 RespuestaWe all know that 343i would do something stupid like port H4 to XBO in order to use its MP for H2A.
