Maybe.
Given, some parts of Halo 4's graphics ARE amazing. I really like the Forerunner architecture. As for the multiplayer...not so much.

Oh and yes this may be an early build. But from what I've played (and I've played a lot of Halo 4), the multiplayer still looks a lot like it.
Edit: Oh crap. I started a flame war

It's too bad the campaign and graphics are the only good thing about Halo 4.
-
Well Halo 4 in my opinion has some of the best graphics that a FPS on a last gen console could offer
-
To be honest no. I'm a graphics whore. It's my mission to go into a level and stare at a wall just to comment on the texture. 343 lazily fakes things all the time and doesn't try to hide it. Textures are pretty bad. I'll give 343 some credit though because they inherited an engine they didn't understand and really pushed the 360's power. Next time I hope for better textures THROUGHOUT the game as a whole.

19 RespuestasEditado por WrathOfTheRoyal: 1/25/2014 10:11:49 PMHalo Reach had best graphics of the series and i dont know why you're comparing 3. Halo 4 had the same engine but muffed up the graphics when they faded half the colors with overpolished crap and turtle-like covenant designs. The only thing halo 4 has graphic wise is alot of potential if given new designers. Reach just lacked a better framerate. Halo 3 just looks average for it's time but ugly now. O.D.S.T. Was only an expansion but an upgrade from 3.

57 RespuestasThat scene where Chief blew up the Covenant Cruiser right before Requiem opened up was terrible cringe worthy. The ship blew up like Lego blocks. It was a terrible contrast to the Super Carrier exploding in Reach. And the art style is nothing more than shit. Characters look to cartoony, it tries too hard to make the CGI look live action, and all the "wow" factors from the graphics just are a result from a huge skybox.
-
1 RespuestaHalo 4 has the best graphics, but a bad art style.
-
Halo 4 does have really good graphics. I'd like to see more of that engine on the next gen consoles
As long as 343 doesn't wreck Halo 5
-
Halo 4 may have been THE best looking 360 game I've owned. I cannot say the same for the rest of it though.

Editado por Cypher Alpha: 1/26/2014 7:38:44 AMHalo 4's graphics aren't the issue with the game. They're very good. It's just the art-style that wasn't my cup of tea.
-
Campaign: Definitely Multiplayer: Overall, yes, but the character armours aren't the best. The maps look good, the vehicles look good, the skyboxes look good, it all looks very good, just not so much the Spartans.
-
The graphics aren't that bad for Halo 4. The only thing I disilike is 343's choice of art style.
-
Definitely, graphically it's the best out of all the Halos......the art design/style however is absolutely horrid, as for your pic, as has been pointed out, that's an old one from long before the game was finished, but it doesn't look much better in the finished product than it does there, imo. All of the other things that go into a game, like colors and lighting and such utterly fail as well. Everything in Halo 4 is too bright or washed out and for the player avatars in multiplayer at the very least winds up looking extremely cartoony.....Halo 4 has all of the same problems that 343i had in/with CEA. Reach and Halo 3 had the best overall looks in the series. Reach especially was just perfect.

The cutscene graphics are some of the best I have ever seen on the 360.
-
Excellent polygon count, shitty art.

Editado por Prototape: 1/25/2014 7:14:25 PMIt's a bit awkward to judge. You can tell they really pushed the 360 to the limits on one hand, but on the other, this caused them to prioritize things causing an imbalance. Some things look spectacular, others were forced to lo-res texturing and a lack of 3D models all-together. A lot of scenery objects are flat planes with a texture on them to give the impression of it being 3D, surface-textures don't look very good, and even some immediate textures (such as the Phantom) just look terrible. Some of these things caused a few of the outdoor maps to completely lose their sense of atmosphere, where oddly enough, Halo 3 and Reach were able to capture because they had a sense of balance. H3 and Reach accomplished this by having over-all good graphics as well as leaving enough room to model the world around you even if it wasn't really accessible. This gave me the impression of a living world, where Halo 4 was more of a model under a skybox for me. Some areas made this absolutely obvious by having hard lines defining the play area to the environment, such as a pile of logs separating you from the two different spaces. Even though Halo 2 used some of these techniques, I still get a sense of atmosphere because they were still pretty good at smoothing out the transition between play-space and environment-space (maybe too good, because you could just slip out of any map at will). Halo 4 is kind of hit and miss. Some areas were good, others were bad, and a few were just awful. But if nothing else, I really liked the art-style for the environments.
-
Yes obviously, I really dislike the art style though, it doesn't look like a Halo game obviously. Besides Chief/Cortana (Both who look different than before) and a FEW weapons/vehicles I wouldn't even be able to tell it was Halo. Not to mention it doesn't sound like Halo just some 70's/80's Sci-Fi movie "PEW-PEW!". How come they made the CEA sound effects sound perfect and like Halo but failed when it came to Halo 4?
-
22 RespuestasH4 is the best one in terms of graphical fidelity, but the H4 art style is terrible.
-
Graphically speaking, it's a nice looking game, though it does fall a bit short in some areas. As for the art style, I'm not a huge fan of it.
-
Good graphics, terrible style. I have no idea what 343 were thinking in terms of armor design in Halo 4. It looks like they're just ripping off a bunch of crappy anime fanart.

Graphics-Good Art Style-Bad
-
Editado por Jono: 1/25/2014 6:53:21 AMI think Reach has the best graphics IMO. The armor for Spartans/Covenant is more detailed than they were in Halo 4. And since Halo 4 has painted backgrounds, Halo CE's and Halo 2's painted backgrounds look better than Halo 4's. Embarrassing if you ask me.
-
Better graphics technology, but pretty poor art quality compared to older Halo games.
-
2 RespuestasThe graphics are good, the color scheme is awful.
-
2 RespuestasWhat a lot of people don't seem to understand is that AA was applied to Halo 3 screenshots during rendering.
-
It has unfinished and simple graphics. Halo Reach had better details.
-
It will be 1,000,000,000,000 times better on xbox one, halo 5 I mean
