Who else absolutely loves this amazing controller? It fits so perfectly in my hands, and the triggers are just god damn amazing. I have to say though, the touch pad is kind of hard to get used to. For example on Warframe, in order to do your special power you need to swipe up on the touch pad. I have slight problems with this, simply because in the heat of battle I accidentally press the damn pad while swiping it, so it puts my mini map in the middle of my screen and blocks my view. Other than that, I think it's an amazing controller. What are your thoughts on the PS4 controller and the Xbox One controller?

3 RespuestasI've tried both controllers (my sister owns a PS 4), and while the DS4 is a vast improvement over the DS3, I still prefer the Xbox One controller. The contours are better than the 360 controller, and it fits more naturally into my hand with the way my fingers wrap around the gripping wings. The sticks are a much needed improvement; smaller, but there's not even the slightest hint of slipping like was prevalent in the 360 version. The triggers are outstanding, and feel like triggers should with the soft curves and gentle angles. The multiple vibration functions in different locations give a sense of realism to whichever game you happen to be playing, and the shoulder bumpers are much better with a bit of stiffness added so it actually feels like you pressed it. With the 360 bumpers, half the time I wasn't sure if I hit it hard enough to make it fire off (in games where the effects of using the bumpers wasn't readily apparent), no issues with that in the One controller. The weight of it feels the same in my hands, light enough to not be tiring, but with enough weight to let it feel sturdy so that I know I won't break it in the middle of game-induced rage. lol The decision to move the battery compartment into the controller was a needed one. The 360 battery-bulge got annoying for me, and was one of my only serious gripes about that controller. No issues with that now in the One's controller. My fingers don't have to contort at an unnatural angle to accommodate for the bulge, just natural gripping without having to worry about that. Overall, the One controller took a nigh perfect game controller, and fixed the few minor issues to create as perfect of a controller as I need for my gaming style. I can guarantee, I'll be spending hours on end in Tamriel with TESO, and I know I won't have to worry about any issues from this controller.

Tried both, albeit DS4 is the best Playstation controller to date, Xbone still feels better IMO.

1 RespuestaOnly took Sony a million years to change the horrid design of the past PS controllers. Still uncomfortable compared to the X1.

1 RespuestaI've played PS4, and used the DS4 for a few hours. Its a huge improvement over the DS3. If for some reason I ever went to PS4 as my main console for shooters, I would be perfectly fine with the controller. That being said, my preferences are still in the favor of the Xbox One controller. With that being said, the Xbox One controller isn't perfect... here are a few of my grips with it after 2 days played time in BF4 and about 1 day played time in CoD. The bumpers are a bit hard to press, they could make it ever so slightly easier to press the bumpers in a future rendition of the controller. Also, the controller as a whole almost feels cheap, and I don't know if this is just my controller or if this is happening to everyone, but my controllers plates (the pieces of plastic that make the overall "face" of the controller"" I can feel them move around a little bit. This is probably more of a isolated incident with me (as I have a Day One edition that I got on launch night, so theoretically my system has a higher chance of slight defects such as the aforementioned with the controller) rather than something that is on a widespread scale. I haven't seen or heard major complaints about this so I can only theorize.

2 RespuestasI think the DS4 is so freaking comfortable. The handles are contoured perfectly for my hands. Probably one of the more comfortable controllers I've ever held. On the other hand, I prefer the xbox one triggers, face buttons, sticks, and overall layout. I think the DS4 speaker, touchpad, and light bar are a waist of space and money. Both controllers are really great and really comfortable. These are just my personal thoughts and preferences...they are both great IMO.

1 RespuestaI think the DS4 is good, but I don't like the shape of the triggers. The Xbox One has a better controller, IMO. The only issue I have with it is the bumpers, and I adjusted to them really quickly. I love the triggers, the buttons, the D-pad, the ergonomics, everything. It's great.

Ha! Same here. I have the same problem with the controller in WarFrame. I'm the Excalibur and since you have to swipe I press too hard and press it. Lol!

1 RespuestaIt isn't as bad as it's predecessors. But the xbone controller is hands down the best controller I ever held. It almost makes me want to get am xbone.
-
Yea, I love it too. Feels super comfortable.
-
I only used it for around 15 minutes in a store once. It's a good controller, but I still prefer the 360's.
-
It's a pretty damn good controller, I just don't get along with the touch pad and the new "start and select" buttons. I also love the One controller, apart from its extremely sensitive triggers.

2 RespuestasDS4 is a significant upgrade in every way. There's nothing the controllers from previous generations have that it doesn't do better. My only gripe is the required lightbar. Of course I've previously rambled about the deceitful look of the black plastic (thinking it was smooth, rubberized, and grippy). And there's the reported issue with the thumb pads being low quality with the rubber coming off. The DS4 has lots of features that set it appart. Touchpad, speaker, audio out, and the lightbar. In contrast thr X1 controller lacks anything new. The rumble triggers certainly sound interesting but I haven't seen them in action. Of course the X1 controller is a refinement from it's predecessor with the same things Xbox players like over Play Station. Chances are if you liked the 360 controller you'll like the X1 better.

2 RespuestasEditado por Failure4Life: 12/29/2013 4:59:52 PMMy left thumb is developing a new callus from it... It hurts ;_; I do like that I am not having issue with dead-zones with it.

1 RespuestaIts fantastic. Just felt immediately right at home in my hands.

1 RespuestaEditado por Noshotskill: 12/29/2013 7:23:22 AMI think it sucks and how Microsoft managed to -blam!- up the xbone controller amazes me. The best "next gen/now current gen" controller is the wii u pro controller. Never thought I'd say that.

6 RespuestasI was a little hesitant at first, after the DawgSheit3 being the worst controller I have ever held. It gave me cramp in my hands/arms after about 10 minutes of playing... However, the DS4 is a work of art. I love holding it, it feels just right and my *only* gripe with it is that when I panic-shoot someone in BF4 (Letting Reflexes do the killing) sometimes I catch my finger on the edge of the trigger and that can smart a little bit. Otherwise I love it :D It's much better than the 360 controller, which is the hardest to beat in my book.
