Saving up money to upgrade my PC
Specs so far:
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor
RAM: 10.0 GB (9.78 GB usable)
System Memory: 10 GB DDR3 (Is this the same as RAM?)
Radeon HD 7450 graphics card with 1GB DDR3 dedicated memory
1.5 Terabyte hard drive
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
That's what I've got. I want to upgrade to on par with current gens. My question(s) for you guys is this:
What do you think of the current build?
What needs to be upgraded to run next gen games?
How much will that cost?
Sorry if this is pretty basic but I'm not that great with PCs and if upgrading is cheaper than actually buying a new console then that's what I'm doing.

7 RespuestasI'm more of an intel person myself. The 6-8 core stuff AMD has basically becomes useless for gaming unless you plan to do rendering and stuff in programs like maya and after effects. Most games only use 4 cores. Intel costs more but is much better for overall output and performance. But since you are going the AMD + ATI graphics card route it should be fine.

It's probably fine, but I'd like to make sure it's good enough to support the $300 and $400 range GPUs. The easiest way to find it is by opening your PC and looking for the sticker on the PSU.

4 RespuestasPSU would be nice to know. GPU needs upgrade. CPU could be upgraded to the eight core amd one that is popular right now( cant remember what it was called.) Ram is okay although The 10gb is weird.. I'm on my phone right now so I can't give a lot of advice/build items.
