Why is the PS4 selling so well?
PS4 has become the fastest selling console well, ever. And so the question is, why is it?
Is the PS4 that good? Is the marketing just making people gobble the PS4 up? Did MS' reveal disaster just go that badly for people that they've gone to buy a PS4? Is the appeal of "next gen" just appealing?

The PS4 isn't much better than XB1 imo, most people just chose it because the XB1's $500 launch price and some of the shitty policies (no longer in place) made some X360 users make the switch.

4 RespuestasMS bungled E3 2013 so hard that they practically handed the lead to Sony on a silver platter. As to why it's still selling so well with no games is anyone's guess.

I think it's because Playstation has superior exclusive titles.

Personally, (which of course its personal, its my opinion, duh, anyway) I really think that people were put off by the fact that XBone is always watching Thanks to the Kinect. I mean come on, would you like for a system to always keep an eye on you? I wouldn't. That and PS marketing is great. And of course IP exclusivity.

2 RespuestasI'm not major competitive shooter fan, so xbox that offers stellar competitive shooter exclusives like halo, gears of war, titanfall and there much, much, better servers for them didn't appeal to me. But god of war, infamous, ratchet and clank, uncharted, final fantasy X and certain jrpgs like disegea just appealed to me more. I just enjoyed the playstation experience more. So I got the ps4. Oh, and I liked the ps3/ps2 controller more then xbox/xbox 360 more too, that helped too. Xbox is great though, don't get me wrong, them servers and exclusives are amazing, just not my cup of tea

2 RespuestasI don't know. As of now it has no spectacular games. Forza is better than its racing game, Killzone is nothing special, BF4 and COD are cross-platform, XB1 has Ryse and DR3.

I can't wait to see the next generation of consoles. What will they add that will be new/better? Next-gen fish AI?

Because of the better exclusives like infamous, bloodborne, the last of us, planetside 2, h1z1, no mans sky, little big planet, and the order 1886. I know some of these are on pc but the ps4 controller is also better IMO

40 RespuestasIt's partly because of that unforgettable PS4 E3 conference. If Microsoft never introduced those restrictions in the first place this wouldn't have been that severe, but they did and then reversed it when it was too late, people were already going for the PS4. A lot of people just seem to prefer what the PS4 has to offer regardless. PS4: - Cheaper - Better GPU and RAM - More gaming focused - Better looking - Better marketing - The E3 conference + continuously targeting Microsoft's flaws (before Xbox removed restrictions) - The "sharing" feature and that feature where you can tap into someone's game to help them out or something (they kept bringing this up and i think it convinced so many people to go for the PS4) - You wont need an internet connection to play single player games (Xbox requires a stable internet connection) - Indie friendly Xbox: - Better exclusives - Kinect - Voice command - Much more media focused than the PS4 - Better multiplayer experience - Better controller to a lot of people (however i personally prefer the PS4 controller) - The Cloud capabilities (apparently why Titanfall can't come to PS4) - 300,000 servers (which is insane) - Skype integration - Fast switching between tasks As you probably can already tell, there are MANY more pros for both consoles, but that's all i could think of right now. It all comes down to personal preference anyway, and a majority just prefer what the PS4 is delivering (me included).

Because we have been stagnating on old hardware for 3 years too long. last gen should have ended a VERY long time ago. Do you know how old hardware is from 2005? Everyone is excited to finally progress.
