So I was doing some hunting around, and because I'm such a no0b at this, I might need some extra help. I gathered up all the components from recommended brands / companies but I'm not sure they would be the "perfect" component. So what do you guys think each component could be switched for or if I did choose a pretty good part and it can stay.

3 RespuestasEditado por Braydzz: 9/15/2013 3:26:47 AMIf you want best of the best id suggest a Intel 4960x CPU but you will need a motherboard that supports a LGA 2011 CPU slot. But beware that CPU is about 1000 dollars. I have one of the older versions which is the 3960X and it is amazing but i paid 1200 dollars for it with shipping. Secondly for a SSD get a Samsung 840 EVO I have a 840 pro which is a older version and it is amazing and the magician software is amazing it has a lot of easy to use tweaking settings and a flawless data transfer program too. And on amazon samsung is selling them for 25% off and even spending 650 dollars for a 1 TB SSD from one of the best SSD companies in the world is a steal but they have smaller options too. Linky. Also go with a Corsair H80i or a Corsair 100i if your case has two 120mm fans right beside eachother.

1 RespuestaNoob, you need three Titans in your rig.

Editado por Quantum: 9/15/2013 10:36:40 AM4x8GB ram. Such a thing exists :). Honestly, this seems like a waste of money. Unless you are planning on running three separate games on five screens at max settings on 2560x1600 Ultra Super Max settings (barring the potential lack of GPU processing power), you will never need a computer this good. Since this is your first build, aim lower. Keep stuff like the PSU and the motherboard high end though, that will allow you to have some breathing space when adding in more advanced parts.

It is better to have 4*4Gb ram sticks then 2*8Gb ram sticks. More lanes / channels

13 RespuestasEditado por Derpy Batman: 9/15/2013 12:40:16 AMDoes anyone know how many sticks of memory I can have on a motherboard? How many max GB of Ram does it need? Also for SATA data cables, how many would I need and where do they plug into?
-
6 RespuestasAnother question: Because I have 6 slots for memory there are 3 possible options and yeah, which would be the best? 16GB of DDR3 -------------------------------------------------------- > 2 sticks of 8GB > 4 sticks of 4GB > 6 sticks of 2GB Which one would be the best?

7 RespuestasCan you wait for the R-9xxx AMD video cards to come out? Cause they'll be better than the GTX 700 series.
-
4 RespuestasUm, sir, you appear to have two CPUs...
-
6 RespuestasIf this is your first build, you may want to not spend thousands of dollars. Build one for about 800$ to get a feel for building.
-
3 RespuestasSo, that i7 extreme, it's incompatible with your motherboard. If you are going to use the PC primarily for gaming, I recommend going with a 4670K.
-
3 RespuestasGet an NVIDIA GeForce 780 GTX instead of the Titan.
-
This is a crazy build for someone who calls themselves a noob. If you are not positive in your abilities to build a computer 100% then I would go for a cheaper build....I mean, I've assembled and disassembled a computer before and I would still never touch a Titan for fear of breaking it... Your build is what, thousands of dollars? Damn dude, you would be set for a while but try toning it down.

2 RespuestasThat graphics card is one of the best. The case is pretty good, but make sure everything fits inside it properly; if it's a good case, it will come with small fans already. Windows 8 is terrible, get 7. For hard drives, I use WD, but I think it's better to split your space into 2 separate drives (ie: two 1TB drives rather than one 2TB drive) and then create a RAID between them. i7 core is good. Liquid cooling is good, but if you decide to go with a heat sink instead, get a Noctua NH-D14. How about your Solid State Drive? And your mouse/keyboard? You should also buy SATA cables. And do you even have the money for this?
-
5 RespuestasWell, you put a graphics card under "Memory".
