Bad games that you wanted to be good.
One game that everyone claims to be bad that I really liked as a kid was Shadow the Hedgehog. When I was younger I thought was awesome with vehicles, guns and sonic game elements, it seemed perfect. Now that I'm older and I played it again, I noticed how bad it could be sometimes.
What games have you played and really wanted to be good but ended up terrible?

Defiance. Though I didn't have too high of hopes for it to begin with, knowing that it was going to coincide with a Sci-Fi channel series.

DUST 514 was soo promising but 3 years of beta testing and not much change = death Dead Space 3 - lost ALL its horror aspects and the story was not interesting. I played the heck out of DS 1 and 2 but could not get myself to play another game in DS3 after I finished a game play through. Aliens Colonial Marines - don't have to say much here Splinter Cell Conviction - why make it a action game???? At list Blacklist moved the series in the right direction again XCOM Declassified - almost like they did not test the game before release
