Is it confirmed how many guns there will be in destiny.

2 RespuestasOver one million, and I'm not kidding. But before you start hammering me with hate, let me tell you how; they only make slight differentiations to each weapon, such as a different sight, or a longer barrel length. But I guess it still counts as a different weapon, their words not mine.

in an interview a designer said "there are more guns in destiny than all of the halo games combined squared and squared again" so going from that i would have to guess they have a gun generating system similar to borderlands. which makes sense because if this is going to be an open world adventure game, finding new guns and loot should be part of the adventure.

Literally many.

The weaponry in Destiny, along with many other customizable items, will most likely be procedurally generated. There is no "confirmable" amount, especially if procedural generation is used. Procedural generation means that the specific type of item will be built based on a base design, but each one is slightly unique, so it will be hard to get the exact same weapon, armour, etc... as another player. (In reference, think Borderlands. That comes nowhere close, but the weapons are procedurally generated in Borderlands.)
