It is a know fact that Microsoft often tried to force there game ideas into Halo while it was under Bungie's care. Bungie carefully shielded Halo from Microsoft's influence while it was under there control.
After the giving over of Halo to Microsoft, Microsoft gave 343i the responsibility of creating the game we all know and love. 343i is a young company however and was probably very susceptible to Microsoft's influence. To me you can clearly see that Microsoft had a lot more say of the features of the game, especially in the multiplayer department.
343i did a great job with the campaign, but was probably pressured into making the multiplayer more CoD like by Microsoft.
This is just my opinion and I could be completely wrong, but that is how I feel.

2 RespuestasSeeing as most people are incapable of nuance when it comes to these matters, let's interject some. 343i had flaws and triumphs in Halo 4. For one, the thematic thread of man vs. machine was executed superbly well in the campaign. That campaign had more thematic depth than the other Halo games combined. With that said, the actual gameplay was not that fun because the Prometheans were tedious and we were given targets to kill for the sake of killing. There was no overall cohesiveness to the level design either. The visuals in the game were gorgeous. I also highly appreciated the fact that they incorporated fiction from the novels intot he game itself. Finally, the CONCEPT of Spartan Ops was excellent, delivering story every week for lore junkies. With that said, the SOPS missions were incredibly monotonous and simply not fun to play. The characters (namely the Spartan IVs) were incredibly annoying and Captain Lasky seemed to lose his central focus as a character in SOPS. I honestly enjoy the multiplayer. It's fast and frantic but still requires some basic coordination. A nice middle ground between Call of Duty and Halos of past.

1 RespuestaWhy would you think coming to the forum that initially owned the series that was sold to Microsoft would be okay considering the circumstances?
-
I felt the same ... However .. Maybe not

Yes they are

2 RespuestasGreat job with campaign? Yeah ur wrong

15 Respuestas"343i did a great job with the campaign" i don't understand why people think this. If you haven't read the books then you are completely lost and ending with a cutscene instead of a sweet boss battle... I honestly thought it was the worst campaign of the whole series but that just my opinion

1 Respuesta343's best game was a re-skinned game that Bungie had already made.
-
1 Respuesta343i is cocky, Arrogant as most of there devs are. They do not listen to others well. They do not understand the value of teamwork. They understand the value of what they need to do but put little else effort into the task beyond that. They understand that money talks. They understand they are talented but are unable to stay on tasks cut corners and are unable to deal with simple requests. What 343i did not do is fix bungies game Reach no matter how much you insist it was fixed. Bungie being wise left the bloom that way for a reason. 343i did you all a favor they expected to be paid back in full. Nothing is free. Also if you noticed people got more kills and pretended to be happy till Halo 4 came around and seen how 343i can make a Multiplayer. They Failed. So before you say they did this compare the facts speak for them self's. They did not create five Innovative Halo's that each were fun to play and refreshing. 343i did not test there game and tweak it. 343i did not respond to fan feed back and live in a closet. So that is what they did not do i am sure there is more but all you people who did not support bungie just do not buy Destiny.

2 Respuestas343i is owned by Microsoft. They, literally, have to do what they say. And yes, 343i is as bad as we make them out to be. They don't know what they're doing, and "they're a young company" isn't a good enough excuse when you're screwing over one of the best game franchises ever.

Halo 4 wasn't a complete fail but it's still a fail. Failed by a company who took matters into their own little grimy hands. 343's only plus was the campaign. The campaign was good at best and don't even get me started on multiplayer. Spartan ops is way way way too repetitive so it loses replay value. A lot of the new armor looks like something I would put on a gundam mech. They try to mimic bungie with their own vidocs for crying out loud! These are all reasons why halo is going down a road which leads into darkness. I will not be getting halo 5 until they fix all of this. I was a diehard halo fan until after halo 4 came out. All of the true halo players are saying the exact same thing. Same goes for the bungie fans.

2 RespuestasNo. 3 fail 3 has proved to us they love shitting on games. Halol was never good before, but now it's just a pathetic excuse for a game. The company has absolutely zero ability to make a good game.
-
Correction. Bungie isn't as good as Bungie.net makes them out to be. They're good, but here, they're gods.

1 RespuestaThere was a time when I would have been in agreement with you over 343i, but the recent buffing of literally everything ruined Halo 4s balance, I know I am probably in the minority but I really did believe that, with exception of not having Invasion, Halo 4 was one of the best Halo games yet, after they fixed the boltshot the game was near flawless but the update to the entire sandbox was completely unnecessary, no one demanded it, and the majority were sure as hell not complaining. And before anyone comes at me about how ignorant I am or how wrong I am, please know this is of course my perspective based off my time with Halo since Halo 2 along with my infatuation with online shooter weapon tuning.
-
343i are horrible listeners. They only started listening after the H4 population took an arrow to the knee. Before the release and on the beginning of H4 they came off very prideful to me.

2 RespuestasSorry, but I disagree.

5 Respuestas343 did a great job with the campaign? Are you high? It was the shortest campaign to date clocking in at under 6 hours on my first run on legendary. The campaign lacked any depth and good level design. Many of the areas were just "Hey, kill some aliens because you need to". The game lacked a goal the whole time and made it unenjoyable. It also has the problem of locking away content about the campaign to XBL Gold members(Why didn't they have terminals the same way they were in Anniversary?) and REQUIRING the previous 5 books to be read to understand it completely. By far Halo 4 is one of the worst AA campaigns to date.
-
1 RespuestaAll I get from this is that you don't understand the inner workings behind Halo then and now. Microsoft have owned Halo since Halo 1 on the original Xbox and 343i is part of Microsoft, they are one and the same. Microsoft influences 343i because they created, own and are 343i.

Editado por DEZARATH: 6/27/2013 3:57:09 PMThey 343 can't even be bothered to post in their own official forums. Bravo posts at the Halo Council and the higher ups use Neogaf. Their community manager mocks a GDC questioner due to her having to put up with months of DMR and Boltshot complaints and please except this perma ban till the year 4514 as a prize if you step out of line or fly off the handle due to the insane frustration of 343's policies. They got their reputation all by themselves.

6 Respuestas- They outsource just about everything. Certain Affinity did the Defiant and Anniversary maps. Sabre Interactive did all of CEA. Half of Halo 4 was done by Certain Affinity. Some other third party did Halo 4's CGI. - They screw over people who buy DLC. I haven't played a Noble or Defiant map since 343 had their aneurism and took out Premium Battle/Premium Slayer which was nearly a year ago now. And I've heard the people who bought the first DLC maps for Halo 4 are getting shafted as well. - They hire people who hate Halo. - They used a picture of a spartan in a wheelchair at GDC. Yeah 343 really aren't that bad.
-
I don't talk about Halo on B.net because nobody likes it anymore, and I don't feel like arguing.
-
343 Illuminati? Just kidding... or am I.
-
13 Respuestas343 hired a ton of people from all over including games like CoD. The only ones that ruined Halo is 343. I don't have to give them a break, they screwed up. They could have brought Halo back to it's roots like they claimed they would, but no, they went completely farther down the hole of stupidity.
-
I think having a halo game with the ranking system of halo reach the story line of halo 2 and 3 along with the new gaming taste of halo 1 would be the ideal game..and if 343 could pull that off i would die happy.
-
If MS was able to influence 343i then 343i was able to influence Bungie when they were making Reach. After all AA's loadouts and the DMR were kept for Halo 4. The most likely answer is that 343i are just that incompetent at making Halo games.
-
Frankie is a noob and doesn't want a good ranking system. He'd rather keep this progression garbage where you 'specialize' in something. How terrible. I also can't believe Ghostayame had the option to remove sprint from Team Throwdown but didn't.. The only other Halo game with sprint, Halo Reach, had no sprint in its final settings and it was great. I don't understand why it's not taken out once again.

25 RespuestasEditado por Commander Tempu: 6/27/2013 2:54:44 PMNo one understands English in my posts so they are noobs. I do not like trolling but its the only way to get it into there skull. BTW why does forge mode look cartoony. Reach was better and if you cry about armor lock and 343i made bloom better so you can get kills with little to no bloom or recoil. Due to you not being able to aim anyways. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=be9E_GTqTfQ
