I think you should be able to be a police man guardian and solve crimes and stuff. It would be a cool feature. Give me your opinion on it mabye that is what FOTC will be.

4 RespuestasI'm surprised by the amount of negative comments this has produced. Maybe they forgot about this. "You're absolutely going to run into other humans and other Exos and other Awoken who, some are, bad people. They have bad plans. There aren't all good people in the world that you run into. So you will see that breadth across all the characters in our game." - Joe Staten Thank you, Dezarath, for pointing out exactly why this isn't such a preposterous idea that its mere proposal would literally shatter the earth to pieces.

1 RespuestaDestiny: ODST
-
No this is an fpsrpg not a real life rpg
-
2 Respuestassee: L.A. Noire

4 RespuestasDestiny is not a crime-solving game. Or anything close to it. If you want to be a great policeman, play Batman: Arkham Origins when it comes out.
-
What I mean by fighting crime, is fighting crime lords or bandits not driving around giving people DUI's. the city doesn't seam to be a utopian society. There is still going to be crime anyways.
-
If you want a crime solving game play L.A. noire
-
meg... who let you back in the house?
-
3 RespuestasWhy would you buy this game I thats what you want? It revolves around protecting a city from aliens and killing people for loot...
-
No thanks, that's not what Destiny is about.
-
6 RespuestasSir I believe my wife is having an affair with an Exo Warlock. I can't prove it but every now and then she comes home from working smelling a little like "Space Magic" if you know what i'm talking about. Can you take the case Detective Irish1744?
-
Maybe you should wait for the guys who made L.A. Noire tp start getting interested in futuristic settings, rather than play Destiny if that's what you want
-
3 RespuestasI think all the mean, negative posters are being dumb. You can fight aliens... and crime! I mean, just because humanity as a whole is pretty darn good, doesn't mean there aren't dregs who would be willing to partner with aliens or steal from their fellow survivors or murder because of insanity. I think a mission like that would in sharp relief to the normal "Go Shoot Aliens!" missions. I wouldn't want to do that for the majority of my gaming, but now and then would be fun!

1 RespuestaDestiny is a Bungie shooter. Stop getting your hopes up guys
-
Maybe a spin-off game, but definitely not what I want from Destiny.
-
Can't wait to patrol the town., and then see one of my fellow police officers gunning down civilians....
-
I'm pretty sure the feeling of being the only human/exo/awakened city on Earth is good enough to keep crime down. Needless complexity is a bad thing.
-
i want that so bad. if i can police the city in a tank it will be like 10 Christmas in one.
-
Go play a police sim.
-
The police officer they need but not the one they deserve.
-
Interesting concept, I like it. But I think we, the community is asking a lot from Bungie, we should just let them work on the features in Destiny that makes it Destiny and let them make it better. Maybe in a feature game, but I don't think so.

Since you have gotten a lot of flack already, I will try and restrain myself. But, This game is about shooting aliens (the occasional Human, Exo, or Awoken), getting loot, and exploring the galaxy. With that said, I see no reason to included crime solving aspect of a FPS Shared World shooter. Sure there might be a quest were a criminal escapes the city, but that will more the likely end with a bullet to the head, or crushed by space magic.

2 RespuestasDon't let the negative posts get to you Irish. I was surprised when playing Skyrim a year ago when I stumbled onto a mission that had me trying to track down a serial killer like Jack the Ripper. Here I am fighting Trolls and Dragons and all of sudden I'm Sherlock Holmes in armor confronting a wizard to accuse him of murder. Bethseda pulled it off so if Bungie wanted to make the city interesting I don't put it past them to follow some sort of Gumshoe ideal as well.

Who has time for crime-fighting when there is Fallen-fighting to be done?
