So far, all we really know about Destiny is that it appears to be Diablo with guns. One weird thing I've noticed about Diablo is that I can have quite a bit of fun just "playing" the Auction House. Finding schemes to make money off of buying, selling, crafting, and breaking items down. If I'm watching TV or something where I'm AFK and back a lot, I'll open up the auction house and try to snipe underpriced items and flip them for a profit.
Besides having game appeal in itself, the Auction House was absolutely vital for me to gear up my character. If the game truly is a Diablo-esque co-op loot RPG, I'd like to see an auction house. How about you?

I'm pretty sure they've confirmed an auction house that would be put in some time after release
-
Only if lower level players can't buy higher level weapons and legendary weapons. You should have to earn the really cool ones. But for normal or semi rare stuff I think it would be cool.
-
I don't see the point
-
I would like to see an auction house and player trades but only for crafting materials and the one use items. While crafting stuff can be obtained from dismantling gear I expect some of it to be much rarer and therefore more difficult to come across. Some people will never touch the crafting system so they should have away to getting rid of the stuff they don't want that still rewards them for getting it, to other players.

1 RespuestaBungie has confirmed NO trading and NO auction house in a recent interview between angry joe and Deej. Deej stated, (paraphrasing here), loot is meant to reflect where you have been and what you have done, you are meant to have emotional ties to your favorite armor and weapons. They want you to tell a story when someone asks where your gear is from, not just "my friend gave it to me" or "I bought it"
-
Don't really care but if it is introduced then it should be for low level items i.e. common and uncommon but should definitely exclude high end items i.e. the top end of rare and all legendary items otherwise it devalues the achievement of obtaining the item through defeating that raid etc if someone else just bought the same item. Leaning towards no.

Editado por zipper579: 6/18/2014 4:18:52 PMThe only reason I say no is because if you take out the actual challenge of getting the armor legitimately it just makes it way too easy to get good gear

I personally loved buying/selling items on other games and getting better gear that way. But... After playing the Alpha, I can't really see how it would fit into the game. I enjoyed building my character and using what I had to work my way up. It really adds to the Immersive Experience. If anyone has played the game Rappelz, They'd know what could happen if people became too dependent on an Auction House. One thing I absolutely HATE is PAY TO WIN. It feels so much better when you win a match knowing that you EARNED, and didn't buy your way into that victory. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they put it in the game. But I also wouldn't care if they didn't.

5 RespuestasHorrible idea people. All it does is encourage farming if items
-
I heard trading and in-game currency will be used, so even if it's sounding like a bad idea, Bungie might find a way to implement it without causing chaos.
-
4 RespuestasI have to say no. The D3 auction house has left such a bitter awful taste in my mouth that I'm almost going to be against any loot game in the future coming up with one. I just don't think a loot driven game should have an option that just allows you to go, "Awe neat! Yeah, I'll pick up that gear right now!" The problem with the auction house is to use it, you need to basically have been playing the auction house since the start. The prices are so astronomically high that someone like me who has never used the auction house can't even think to use it now since the items I would need that would upgrade my character are like 50+ million gold and in order to find something worthwhile to put on there to start getting your gold up you need to wait until your RNG god starts giving you the proper drops. Sorry for the mini rant, but like I said, it has left an awful impression with me. I think games that don't have randomly created weapons (I still don't know if they've announced if this game will be randomly created or not) benefit a lot more from an auction house.
-
Don't really mind either way. It spoils progression and distorts the experience, but if some people want that they can go right ahead. Any system Bungie implemented would be markedly better than D3, however, where the AH was just a tool to expose a short, weak, ill-conceived game released without proper balancing, debugging, etc.

1 RespuestaI concur with the general public for two reasons in a game like destiny there would be those people who just sit there and make money I could understand an auction house between clan members but community that would just be overpowered if you wanted to buy time for adventuring with high ranked clan members then yeah sure but guns and gear it would just be pointless and overpowered and allow to think there strong when
-
1 RespuestaNo, that killed Diablo 3. I wouldn't mind having an auction house for in-game currency or items.
-
9 RespuestasI have to say no. I haven't really seen a system in any game that wasn't able to be abused while simultaneously giving players enough freedom to influence prices. I hope Bungie doesn't tackle this hopeless issue. I love the approach they took on looting gear. I love it, and I have seen it used and adopted for many other games. They did their research.
-
4 RespuestasNo for all reason previously mentioned. Another thing is that it will only be obtainable for those with a ton of currency. Sure, weapons will start off at reasonable prices but then they'll go up and up and up as people's greed takes over for people looking to make a quick buck with no effort what-so-ever. I'll make my money taking the wild lands head on like a true adventurer not like some fat cat CEO with no effort and pride.
-
4 RespuestasNo, people will just run the auction house all day and flip items until the end of time. And if there's a pvp mode of any sort that allows individual players to bring their real gear to the fight...it will be one sided. As in the people who flip items all day for their friends/clan, will just run everyone into the ground in terms of gear (not that it's the only thing that matters).
-
2 RespuestasI can't see it myself. This idea seems to go against Bungie's wish to tell a story with your character's developments. Everything in Destiny should be personal to the player, if that is to be the case.
-
1 RespuestaAuction house? What would the use of that be instead of get guns can't you just get then yourself it would be much more fun wouldn't it?
-
I like the idea of currency being important, either to buy new weapons/gear or ships, but I also see the downside to having an auction house. I can see the advantages, like if you go on a raid and get a type of weapon that you didn't want. Maybe instead of an auction house it would just be controlled by bungie- level 20 weapons sell at this price, etc.
-
An auction house like world of Warcraft!!!!!
-
I thought I heard somthing like Bungie was against trading. It was recently so maybe one of the E3 videos.
-
Dear Lord, Please NO.
-
1 RespuestaAuction houses cater to nothing but casuals and people with no friends. I can see why you like the idea. If you are having problems killing that boss how about investing in some skill and learning how to take it down without going to the AH to buy your crutch. Want a better gun? How about you go out there and find one like a real player would. It is people like you with ideas like this that ruin games for the rest of us. Do us all a favor and go back to playing Candy Crush and leave the real games to the actual gamers.
-
1 RespuestaNo. I'm not against trading loot with your fireteam, but an auction house isn't needed in this game. You want a shiny new gun? Go explore the world, find something big and nasty, and hit it with some bullets and/or SPACE MAGIC!!!!(tm). Don't buy someone's cast-offs. Thats for civvies, not Guardians.

1 Respuesta*LV1 player buys under-priced, powerful, fully upgraded weapon* *Difficulty and fun gone* I would like to see trading weapons of similar value though.
