My friend linked me this youtube video a little while ago, and when I was about half way through it, it hit me. I was sent right back to being an orc rogue questing The Barrens, yelling in General chat and hiding from Ally gankers. Heck I think sometimes Id walk from A to B in stealth just to be safe. I started to think about all those good feelings.
Getting your first epic.
Getting your molten core gear.
Invited to three day long alterac valley battles.
Getting revenge in duskwood or redridge or menithil.
Talking about BC with the old Vidya guild.
Running naxx as server first and feeling like you were hot blam!
Feeling cool in front of ogrimmar with your pvp gear on.
So gather round you long whiskered veterans of Kalimdor and Azeroth, tell me all about your stories, Id love to hear em.

1 Respuesta:) I was a bright-eyed Nelf Hunter learning the ways of the bow. I remember my first guild, my first 30. That sharp taste of victory in my mouth when I was gifted the gold for my first mount. The wind in my hair as I used said first mount to run across Elwynn in under 10 minutes. I remember the epic battles of Southshore and Tarren Mill. I remember being camped in the barrens for attempting to get to Wailing Caverns as an Alliance. I remember the Scourge event. I remember using the Hunter glitch to spread the disease from ZG until it became a plague that drove people from the cities and into the countryside. I remember the wonders of RPPVP realms and the 200v200 laggy battles that occured daily. Gawd those were the Halcyon Days.

5 RespuestasAlterac Valley... man, those could last 4-8 hours. And since I was alliance I would often lose because, of course, the Alliance Titan was glitched and only the Horde could summon their ice giant. Nowadays with the kill limit and everything is so much easier, all the game comes down to is capturing the flags for spawns and getting to the other end. No orbs. No wolves. No harpies. Nothing matters except the most direct route. It's more user friendly, but they dumbed down Alterac Valley to the point where I just cannot have fun. It saddens me, and I wish I could play Alterac the way it was meant to be played.
