You switch on Destiny, and open your friends list.
You scroll a tab, and are looking at one of the private groups you have joined on bungie.net.
There is a files feed and browser, with pinned top files (as assigned by group admins).
There is also a list of games. These are called "group matches". In making the game lobby the host chose the option "open to x private group" (instead of "open to friends"). As result the game appeared in the specified group games feed.

2 RespuestasCommunity clans already confirmed. OP fail.
-
Add in a permanent group option with re-spawning comp controlled a.f.g. team mates. Yes have the computer control your character for the guild benefit. Build on the importance of teams.
-
2 RespuestasCommunity clans are already confirmed. Pic related. Look at the text below their names. I don't know how you guys don't notice this stuff.
-
For the love of God, please bring back the Halo 2 clan system.
-
I pretty like that and with the Xbox One there would be a cool way to open this as a Popup. Another advantage could be that it would harm more with the bungie.net or other things.
-
I think that it will be something bigger like a guild. In which the guild can have community events and have a leader who plans a bunch of stuff and what not. I'm excited.
-
Oh. Oh my. BUNGIE, YOU BETTER BE PAYING PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THIS HERE THREAD.
-
Better indeed, my take on Destiny is that it will interact more with the Bungie.net so this is definitely a possibility.

1 RespuestaThis is a good idea and you should feel good. Unfortunately though, you just raised my expectations and I'm hoping I won't be disappointed.

Editado por Regretful123: 6/4/2013 1:24:26 AMHush Tom, we aren't ready to talk about this, just not quite yet!
-
Editado por Dread0124: 6/3/2013 8:53:01 AMno ide prefer in game clans...some people arnt really into the whole forums thing the clan im in would loose half its members because people dont want to put in the 5 minutes of effort it takes to register and join a group...unless its to initially join clan
-
2 Respuestasthe problem with this is that groups are for discussion. And not everyone I like talking to about games, are people i like to play the games with. I guess it could work if you made new groups and only invite people to be part of the group clan thing.
-
Well, hm. I want the Marty Army clan to come back to life, but since it's a group with 2000+ members...same difference?
-
1 RespuestaAs long as this doesn't come back, I'm happy!
-
2 RespuestasI don't think the implementation of private groups in Destiny (while awesome) is a supplement for "Clans", which are (typically) more in-game, competitive, and not centered around forum discussion (whereas groups are sometimes in-game, non-competitive, and centered around forum discussion).

This would be great...now if only Bungie considers this...

7 RespuestasEditado por Obsric: 6/3/2013 6:25:31 PMI like your thinking - but I think you're over-thinking it! :) Definitely Bungie should be at the heart and soul of our friends lists - but I want what they've hinted at in terms of multiplayer in Journey. I want to travel to Mars, head out to an area and find other Guardians (given that my 'lone wolf' options are off). I don't want to actively have to participate in choosing a group - I just want it to happen. If my play style happens to suit / match some of the other Guardians - then I'll want to be able to add them to a preferred players list so I can group up with them for the next mission / next time. Having someway to manage my my preferred players list in sub categories while in game would be nice.

Stop calling them clans...

amazing idea. Bungie, please please please add this in. The 117th will thrive!

6 RespuestasEditado por Dropship dude: 6/3/2013 10:21:05 AMNah bro, guilds. Friggin'... guilds. I pointed out that there will be guilds in Destiny (from what we've seen) a while ago, so I imagine we'll have a system like this, only, instead of private groups, it's guilds. Although, this does sound fancy shmancy.
-
I could see this happening if they are serious about pushing this whole 'Bungie conncectivity on other devices' stuff. Not out outside the realms of possibility and definately a cool idea!
-
This... is actually not a bad idea. I'd want Bungie to up the group limit for people though. I'd want to play with multiple groups beyond the ten we're limited to now.
-
1 RespuestaI like the idea. It'd give groups on this site another purpose and it'd attract more people to the site, so they could use the feature.
-
Really great idea.
-
Great idea! I had a similar idea before Reach came out, where a group could share a File Share and choose a Screenshot for it's homepage, thus removing themes (enabling you to have almost whatever you wanted). I like your idea better :)

4 RespuestasI think community would be a good name :)
