Other than the initial surge that Destiny will receive from buzz surrounding its release, and Bungie's "next big thing," do you realistically see yourself playing it as your main interest for more than a year?

2 RespuestasDestiny (Legendary Edition) should come with divorce papers.

1 RespuestaThat's nothing I played halo 3 for 2 years with out Xbox live just split-screen campaigning and multilayer when friends came over the the same with reach and halo 3 odst
-
Yes I mean I still play reach and it's been what? 2, 3 years?
-
2 RespuestasIf they are adding mmo elements to the game, it will have the staying power of a cocaine addiction, just saying.
-
I know I would because I havent played a real sci-fi game besides Domm 3 BFG Edition
-
I played every single halo up to the launch (and past them occasionally) of the next game which is about two years. Bungie said if I liked halo I would like Destiny. This is an easy YES for me.
-
-
4 RespuestasYup. Especially if it has mom elements.

1 RespuestaIf it turns out how we think it will, then I'll be playing it for freaking years. But sadly, the hype train still hasn't arrived at E3. (GET IT?! Cause we are on the hype train and we get off at E3 to face reality.... HAH. I'm a genius.)
-
5 RespuestasIt depends on how successful the first game is. I'm confident in Bungie's abilities, but we can't know until we see how the first one is received.
-
-
To be honest, it depends. I'm imagining a massive free roaming experience that could keep us around for 5-7 months, after that its up to the community to remain strong. A good matchmaking system could add a large amount of time to the games life as well if done right.
-
Yes I do. Especially if there I can continue to level up whole I play and also have events that keep me coming back. That makes me wonder how the leveling system will be implemented.
-
I'll probably be consistent in playing it through the months following its release, but as more games come out I'll probably return less so. I will be persistent on playing the though, especially with this whole "ever changing world" thing.
-
Depends on which way this "persistent-ever-changing-world" is intended. This will make the difference. If i will feel art of a group and what i do counts somehow in the evolution of the world, than i can play for years on. If it will come out that it's just a game like other fps or planetside (jump in, do some damage, end of the party bye bye) i will play it as i played any other of these games.
-
Yes, as long they keep adding content and the competitive multiplayer is very addictive.
-
I honestly do. People will lose interest in CoD Ghosts, since I imagine it to be the same thing as previous instalments. Customers will look for a competitive but moving FPS, that's different and refreshing, with high quality gaming. They will hear of Destiny, and join in the community. Also, if the game has significant post-launch support (which I'm certain it will) and a large following, it will easily have staying power. People like to be a part of a large community. I can guarantee if CoD only had like 30k online per day and Halo had 500k, more people would join Halo.
-
4 RespuestasIs this really a question? People still play the terrible Cod games for more than a year.
-
This game will be called the relationship killer = me paying more attention to the game than my girl

2 RespuestasEditado por Guru: 6/1/2013 10:31:05 PMOh heck yea. I won't be leaving my basement for the next ten years while Destiny is out. This universe is huge. I see it lasting 20 years but 10 is still good.
-
I played Halo for way over a year, and that is technically boring a repetitive compare to the genre this seems to be. I even played Halo 4 even though 343 has it, and I liked it. Thus, yes.
-
4 RespuestasI spent 3 years on Halo 3. You tell me.
-
It seems like there will be a lot of content. And if I run out of missions, there's always competitive multiplayer.
-
1 RespuestaI've been playing Reach for years, and Destiny looks 2000 times as awesome.
-
If this game is in any way as epic as Halo CE I could definitely see myself playing it for years.
-
Maybe not main interest, but I'm sure ill be playing it a lot for years until the next game by bungie comes out
