If you were given force powers, how long until you fall?
OK, I don't think ANYONE on this forum would be true enough to be a Jedi until they died. Everyone of you, no matter how altruistic would fall to the Dark Side.
The only question is how long would it take?
Days? Weeks? Months? lol..Years?
I give most of you a few hours before you fall.

Do we get a mentor, or council, or is it just the powers? In case of Mentors: I would stick pretty close to Jedi, but more in the fashion of the original trilogy. So no "You can't do this, and can't do that", but a mystical warrior with incredible powers sworn to do good. In case of no Mentors: Watch the original trilogy a few hundred times, and then try to figure out what to do.

Of course I'd have urges to -blam!- people up but I wouldn't [i]kill[/i] anyone. Considering the increase in spiritual individuals today (meditation, equality, goodness, psychedelics), I think id meditate for hours a day [b]because[/b] of my new found powers.

I'd be neither Jedi nor Sith. I wouldn't be evil and power hungry but a Jedi is too restricting for me.

So there's no telling how long it would take before I become corrupted, because the Dark Side is something conjured up by those who can't understand that people, regardless of how pure or true they believe themselves to be, are in some way or form naturally selfish. So I suppose I would live a quiet and peaceful life, training my powers and dreaming of what I might be able to do with them. I'll probably become a megalomaniac at some point, and things will progress from there.

Depends how strong the powers. Most powerful force user ever? About five seconds before I go full-on Godmode and rule the Earth. Average user? About five seconds before I start mindtricking people to gain power in the world. Weak user? About five seconds before I use it to not have to get up from this chair to fix a snack in the kitchen.

I wouldn't say that defending oneself from the military would be turning to the Dark side. I'd use it to do jobs and make money but it wouldn't take long to get bad attention and I would defend myself, stopping those who'd do me harm.

It would take... Way too long to worry about. I'd be doing useful stuff. I really don't see why I'd even fall, because there's just not enough determination to join the dark side. I'd be neutral, using it when I felt it necessary. Boom.
