1. Xbox one is a stupid name, Infinity is 10x better.
2. They announced on twitter that 15 new franchises are coming to Xbox half of which are new. Why didnt they tease one? I would have preferred it instead of COD which btw looks meh.
3. Still nobody cares about Kinect.
4. The hardware capability looks very impressive.

It's just more of the same. Better specs, slightly better design, slightly better in every sense. It doesn't blow my mind though.

Quantum Break.

1. Annoying name. 2. I like new IPs. 3.If kinect is required to use the dang thing, consider me done with xbox. 4. lots of features I'm sure SOMEONE who isn't me will like. 5. five billion transistors is a shit ton of transistors. Hella transistors. 6. Super trepidatious on the "not always on but requires a connection" deal. 7. Seriously. 5 billion of anything is a lot. The whole thing must be made of transistor. 8. Controller looks good, but I'm worried about how it'll feel overall. REALLY liked the 360 controller. 9. Worried about how lending discs and work, and how that'll potentially effect LAN parties. 10.Looking forward to their E3 presentation. 11. FIVE. BILLION. TRANSISTORS. It's transistors ALL THE WAY DOWN.

So far, I don't really like xbox one in comparison with the PS4, I've always been an xbox player, but this time, I might go to PS4. My thoughts.

Unless they have some damn good games, I will absolutely not be picking it up. The Third Console Curse strikes again.

After sitting through the live showing I thought meh it looks ok, but after reading into it some more I'm really excited. Does anyone know if XBL members on a 360 can play across XBL with a member of the Xbox one?

Given the info we have now I would say the PS4 has piqued more of my interest. But that's now and there's still a lot we don't know about either. A lot of people are claiming to they won't get one based off their gut reaction to the press conference. Actually reminds me of Destiny. After that first reveal you had people proclaiming it would be "GOTY" only to consider not getting the game at all after hearing of some PlayStation exclusives two days later. Now here we are after the Xbox reveal and everyone's jumped on the PS4 bandwagon. Ultimately it's everyone's own choice about which console to buy. Some advice I will give is buy the console that best fits you and has games you want to play. Sounds blatantly obvious but I see a lot of people saying they'll buy the Xbox One or the PS4 because they liked the 360 or the PS3. Don't assume your interests in the past or now will be the same when these consoles are fully understood and released. You might've loved the 360 the most only to find the PS4 suits your needs better than the new Xbox. And that's okay. One last interesting thing is to look back at history. MS is still the new kid in town in the console game when compared to everyone else. This is their third console. Look at console number 3 for everyone else: The N64 was not as dominant as the SNES, Sega lost their competitiveness with the Saturn (then everything with the DreamCast), and Sony ruled the world with the PS1 and PS2 only to be knocked off their perch with the PS3. Of course this doesn't mean MS is doomed, but it'll be interesting to see if history repeats itself.

1 RespuestaThey teased one, Quantum Break, seems interesting. But it's about what I was expecting, lots of variety in terms of uses, a small amount of games to tease E3, anyone who expected anything else really doesn't understand Microsoft's business plan...

3 RespuestasEditado por Smarkdow: 5/22/2013 4:14:56 AMIt's...just as bad as I thought it was gonna be. -Yay, a 500 GB hard drive! Wait, mandatory installs? Bye bye memory. -Games are tied to an account, rather than the console. -Must pay a fee to play a used game. Want to rent a game? Too bad. Want to borrow a game from a friend? -blam!- you. -Kinect required -The D-pad still looks horrible. Why the shiny plastic? Just use a textured surface. I can't wait until E3 to see the games it has. 15 exclusives, huh? How much you wanna bet most of them are Kinect games?

Overall I am interested with a lot of what was showed yesterday. I didn't expect to see any games shown at all yesterday, with E3 right around the corner I would expect them to just wait and blow people away there. As Sony showed nothing but games they lacked in showing their actual system, but that's going to be their big thing at E3, so I'm sure Microsoft is taking the other path. I agree 100% about the Kinect, I don't even know why they waste their time. One big thing that has been keeping me in suspense since I have found out about it awhile back is if the new system(s) are going to allow use of the occulas (forgive my spelling) I am very interested in that over most.

As the tide comes and goes, I'll be feeding off of all of the information I can gather. It'll be at least half a year before I can purchase the Xbox One after it hits the shelves. No income, and what I do have is going to the 2013 Mayhem Fest.
-
not going to buy it.
-
Too much coverage on functions that that I'm not going to use. Hardly anything gaming related.

I was, like most others, excited for the NextBox. However, I walked away from the reveal a bit underwhelmed. After some depression and a good nights sleep, I will now dedicate a lot of my time to researching all available information in wait for E3. I will digest that info as well and probably take a bit to weigh a final decision. I'm sure that Xbox One will be fine. There's a lot of speculation of unannounced features, and to that I say that I will keep an open mind. I hope everyone else will too. PS4 is also a contender for my living room, so I'm not favoring one or the other at this time. I miss my PSone and PS2. And I've been with Xbox since the first (although I took a PC hiatus for a few years). If these two consoles don't seem to add up, which I'm sure they will, I may invest in making "steam boxes" -VE4L

So far I like what I see, but I still want to see games and specs for Xbox one. I expect those to be revealed at E3.
-
This seems to be a lot of people here.
-
Looks good. Nothing worth complaining about so far, just need to see some games now.
-
I like the design but I was hoping they'd focus more on gaming instead of TV.

One word: Television
