How would you abolish atheism?
I've seen numerous people say atheism needs to be abolished, and this got me to wonder, how would you go about abolishing atheism? By making it illegal? By killing anybody who doesn't practice a religion? If you make it illegal, people are still going to not practice it because they honestly believe that no religion is the path to salvation. And if you persecute non-religious people, they will be made martyrs and inspire more people to rise up against the religious-led persecution. (Take a look at Pastafarianism, The GSM's consumption has became an inspiration for them all.)
So.....how would you go about abolishing atheism?

You cannot abolish an idea, someone is always going to be there asking questions like "how do we know god exists?" or "why doesn't that make sense?" The way they did it in medieval times would probably be most effective. Destroy anything that opposes your beliefs and execute anyone who questions them.

unless a religion is physically harming other people (ie the doctrine demands to hurt others, not a radical extremist group) then that religion should be banned. No religion should be banned. People have a right to believe what they want to believe in, and not to believe in what they dont want to believe. Abolishing a religion or nonreligion doesnt work. its idiotic and immature for those who want to banish peaceful religions. I'm not saying all religions are perfect, i'm not saying Atheists are stupid and are going to hell, all i'm saying is if a religion isn't causing you physical harm then get over it and stop complaining.

Propaganda. You keep saying something to someone for long enough and eventually they'll start to believe it. Therefore you cannot abolish it because it isn't an it because it isn't a thing. It is the absence of a thing. Getting rid of a lack of something is impossible because it is something that is non-existent. Therefore you cannot abolish it like some inferior religion. It's the absence of a religion. If it is the very definition of not having something, then how can you get rid of something that doesn't exist? It's just an idea. Whether or not you voice your idea is irrelevant because at the end of the day it's still an idea whether it's voiced or not. Therefore it cannot be abolished as it is the lack of something so therefore you can't abolish something that doesn't exist.

The problem is atheist need to treat religious people with respect and accept ones beliefs. Instead of call religious people idiots for believing in a higher power. I do not judge nor look down upon people who are atheist. I accept that they chose to believe that way and I go about my life. I only wish they would do the same for me. Not saying all atheist are like this but many are.
