When you look at it realistically, a fairly large portion of pop musicians don't write their own music in the first place. They have lyricists and producers doing that for them. They're just vocal talent (a word used loosely in some cases). So really, what's the difference between them paying a producer to make them music and them paying the owner of the song to take their music? The results are the same: Some people like it and some people hate it. So why does it matter who made the music if the 'artists' aren't making it themselves?
