I was thinking about applying there now that I am finally starting with that stuff and was wondering if anyone can answer a question-
I want to study to become a 3d character artist, and was wondering if anyone knew if I should apply to 'Game Design' or 'Digital Art and Animation'.
Currently I have an application ready to go for the Digital art class, but I am having second thoughts seeing as 90% of the course is animation and the design course seems to have a bit more '3d art' focused classes. Right now I have the 'I really don't want to click send and find out next year I made a big mistake' fears so can anyone help me out with this? Getting into either course seems possible to me, just don't want to do the extra 4 essays required to apply to the Game Design course unless thats what I'm going to go for.(edit2:decided to remove this part that was originally right here entirely)

One of the best I've heard.

It depends on whether or not you like designing the games out just massing the art for them. The BAGD (bachelor of arts in game design) is about designing games. We (I'm currently in my second year at DigiPen) take classes ranging from economics to psychology in order to better understand our audience as game designers. We learn enough art to communicate our ideas to the "real" artists who can then take our ideas and make them awesome. The BFA degree learns all kinds of art, including 3d.
