Thanks for the Memories

Dear Bungie, I bet you get fawning fan mail about this all the time. "Gosh, Bungie, thanks for showing you care by occasionally getting employees to post in the Community forum!", your starry-eyed fans probably write using their own blood for ink because they love you so much. "Hey, Bungie, I know you really care about us because you answered one of my questions in a mail sack!", they probably say (hoping you'll feature their effusive praise in your next Mail Sack, instantly swelling the size of their internet dick to so many inches they can use it as an internet scarf). So maybe you'll pass over this as just one of many letters from your adoring fans, and I guess I wouldn't blame you. But I'm writing it anyway, because I just love you guys so goddamn much. I want to thank you for this amazing site update. I can tell that you really listened to what your users wanted because you read our multiple posts asking for more private group functionality and responded by taking away our group history, saved threads, user search feature and ability to ban people in threads. This has made me feel really respected and valued as a member and a group admin (I was a group moderator, but we don't have those any more!), because my priorities and those of countless other users were obviously right on the top of your list when you were designing this update. I also like how I now have to log in every time I visit the site even though I'm saving my cookies, which leads to me having to re-sort threads the way I like them every time I open up a new BNet tab. I mean, sure, I don't get how that's beneficial - but you guys are the geniuses, right? I'm probably just too silly to understand. Next, I really want to thank you for implementing features like the tag system with such finesse. I love how relevant and useful the "Trending" feature is most of all. I also really like how we can no longer jump to certain page numbers or to the last page of a forum, and now threads load as one continuous page and are organised counter-intuitively. I understand that the people at Bungie, being highly evolved next-gen super-cyborgs, are simply trying to help us lesser mortals to see the world as they see it - as a constant stream of feedback that's very easy to ignore because the first few posts in a thread are constantly drowned out by people talking about how great Bungie's dick tastes in their mouths. And it does taste great, Bungie! There's absolutely nothing demeaning or insulting about the way you've decided to give users a forum with a bunch of features they don't want and taken away features we actually did use, like saved threads and easily accessible pinned topics. I mean, if someone else did it, people would probably accuse them of wilfully creating a terrible, unusable site that addresses none of the concerns their users had. But you're Bungie, and your dick tastes fabulous! So thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I really mean it! I don't have to swallow, do I?
