Dear Bungie,
I bet you get fawning fan mail about this all the time. "Gosh, Bungie, thanks for showing you care by occasionally getting employees to post in the Community forum!", your starry-eyed fans probably write using their own blood for ink because they love you so much. "Hey, Bungie, I know you really care about us because you answered one of my questions in a mail sack!", they probably say (hoping you'll feature their effusive praise in your next Mail Sack, instantly swelling the size of their internet dick to so many inches they can use it as an internet scarf). So maybe you'll pass over this as just one of many letters from your adoring fans, and I guess I wouldn't blame you. But I'm writing it anyway, because I just love you guys so goddamn much.
I want to thank you for this amazing site update. I can tell that you really listened to what your users wanted because you read our multiple posts asking for more private group functionality and responded by taking away our group history, saved threads, user search feature and ability to ban people in threads. This has made me feel really respected and valued as a member and a group admin (I was a group moderator, but we don't have those any more!), because my priorities and those of countless other users were obviously right on the top of your list when you were designing this update. I also like how I now have to log in every time I visit the site even though I'm saving my cookies, which leads to me having to re-sort threads the way I like them every time I open up a new BNet tab. I mean, sure, I don't get how that's beneficial - but you guys are the geniuses, right? I'm probably just too silly to understand.
Next, I really want to thank you for implementing features like the tag system with such finesse. I love how relevant and useful the "Trending" feature is most of all. I also really like how we can no longer jump to certain page numbers or to the last page of a forum, and now threads load as one continuous page and are organised counter-intuitively. I understand that the people at Bungie, being highly evolved next-gen super-cyborgs, are simply trying to help us lesser mortals to see the world as they see it - as a constant stream of feedback that's very easy to ignore because the first few posts in a thread are constantly drowned out by people talking about how great Bungie's dick tastes in their mouths.
And it does taste great, Bungie! There's absolutely nothing demeaning or insulting about the way you've decided to give users a forum with a bunch of features they don't want and taken away features we actually did use, like saved threads and easily accessible pinned topics. I mean, if someone else did it, people would probably accuse them of wilfully creating a terrible, unusable site that addresses none of the concerns their users had. But you're Bungie, and your dick tastes fabulous! So thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I really mean it!
I don't have to swallow, do I?

Editado por Arbitor5: 2/3/2013 9:24:10 PMThis is just a BETA TEST. Yeesh, obviously there are problems as it's a brand new site. They didn't have to invite us to this beta, they could have done a private one. The webteam is adding new things every week so sit down and buckle up. Have a suggestion for the beta? Then type up a neat nice thread instead of shouting on the forums for attention. :)

Either way, I'm pretty sure that Bungie still wins the e-peen battle... Also, you forgot #feedback.

2 RespuestasAlternate accounts: the equivalent of internet whiskey. Also, mercifully, just as easy to ignore as a drunk slob in a bar.

I'm just waiting for the final version. If it sucks, I'll struggle to stay here at all.

1 RespuestaIt has probably been said a million times in this thread but... Its a beta...

Your sarcasm is distasteful.

ITT: Whining about the same issues as everyone else, but pretending to be the first one to notice them (or, maybe, just the most melodramatic) Also ITT: Trying to pretend that one person's usage pattern is representative of everyone else who visits this site.

The only part I agree with is the users praise Bungies new website and stop people from complaining about problems. THE SORT BY OPTION NEED TO GO....But seriously man you need to chill out. You sound like a spoiled brat who wants everything he wants in a second...so ye...................... I love using these .............. so much!!!!!!!!.............................................

While this thread was written in a way that is completely childish and therefore useless in terms of giving Bungie feedback that they will pay attention to, there are a few good points.
-
What i dont get is why several mods have posted in this thread, but no bans have been made. . .
-
I was right, Bnet as a community has gotten worse over the years.

6 RespuestasIt's a Beta. Most features aren't even implemented yet according to Bungie, and features that are here are subject to change. You have to put the cream on your buttocks, mate.
-
6 RespuestasSo your first way of thanking them is to insult their fan base? Smooth.

Editado por MastaSin: 1/30/2013 5:06:13 AMBeing too dramatic for a new test design, ain't we? Don't you have better things to do? Instead of ranting like a moron you could help giving real feedback to help improve the new features. Your childish comments just become a troll that Bungie is not gonna take seriously and this will eventually fade out and no one will care of this BS and stupid comment. Grow up!

20 RespuestasHow can you change or evolve if you never try something new? This site is evolving, and they're feeling out new designs and functions to see how well they might work with the site and how well they may be accepted by the community. Furthermore, I was going to make a few statements analyzing your inability to understand the previous statement I just made, and then remark extensively as to your childish ignorance and bitterness, but I suppose I'll just settle with this... You're a joke.

3 RespuestasYou have to swallow it all, OP.

Editado por Taco: 1/30/2013 1:57:32 AMI...concur. We need to give them time to react to our feedback, though. Things can change, as they have already, and for our benefit. I think you forget who owns this site. It isn't you. As awesome as Bungie can be, they own this place. It is their domain. If this change is what they want, then so be it. There is little we can do, no matter how loud we shout, if they do not want to switch up their system. So, in this aspect, I see only two scenarios: 1.) We moan all day. Nothing gets accomplished. No compromises are made. Nobody is happy, most of the forums die, and Bungie shuts them down. 2.) We give our feedback calmly, clearly stating what we feel works and doesn't. There is collaboration, the forums evolve, and everyone is happy. There is much reason to be mad, but there is also much to stay calm for. No one will listen to a blubbering idiot rant for more than a few seconds, yet classrooms will fill to hear collected speakers talk about how they believe we can move the world forward. Don't get caught in the past. It is over. Done. Dealt with it. This is Bungie.Next. We can make it what we want, or not. I very, very much so want it to go back to what it once was, and so I have stated what I feel is necessary to keep the forums functioning properly, as they were. You should do the same -- What you've written here is not going to accomplish much.

23 RespuestasIt's okay JayTheNerdKid, you don't have to post on an alt account to avoid people muting you. We all know that this was originally posted in Sapphire and it's actually you. And Jay, it's a beta. Chill.
