Hahaha. Best way to learn more about Linux, if one wanted to, is to use a distro that forces you to build up your system. Gentoo, Arch, and Alpine are great for this. Highly recommend Alpine in a virtual machine.

Man it's been soo long I don't even remember what build it was. I think it was "u" something, but I could be wrong. This goes back to '13. I should put one on one of my old laptops just to mess around.

Probably Ubuntu. That's the most turn key distro. If you end up throwing linux on an old laptop to tinker with feel free to DM me any questions.
