Doesn't help that for dad gamers the warlocks floof jump is preferred due to it's duration and post-activation control. I've always gotten the impression warlock players are goats or dads with little middle ground, certainly doesn't help the class spread.

Warlocks do have a huge skill curve, primarily because most PvE players who arent great, choose warlock, it's the easiest for jump puzzles & it has a rift to help stay alive, it's also a good solo class & most play solo so it's a perfect storm. There guys usually don't, or minimally, enjoy PvP. Then there's people skilled like zkmushroom who destroy people on warlock with the movement on the solar class & super zipping through the air, things the pve guy above simply cannot do, in the wrong hands it's slow & cumbersome.
