I, for one am not interrested in losing ALL my loot for a game that would be the same thing as Destiny 2, but with the pretense of being extra new... Bungie, please, just keep improving Destiny 2, nobody needs a new Destiny game, this should not be the same kind of "fast food trash" game like "FIFA" or "CoD". I dare believe most of us don't want to buy a new game and start from zero every year or two...

These guys can’t even make d2 good. There is zero shot they can make a good game from scratch. All they can do is take a good game and make it worse.

1 RespuestaI would say they can move shaders, weapons and such from D2 to D3, but then I remember that Sony isn't going to make something backwards compatible if they can charge you for it for the umpteenth time.

5 RespuestasI’m happy to start fresh with D3, if it’s a substantial amount of new content (not recycled). It’s a good opportunity to bring in new players and justify a new engine, dedicated servers, etc. I’d be happy with a new game every 3-5 years. That seems like a good amount of time to fully invest in a game, without the need to vault content or section off different parts of the game. The idea of a never ending game also appeals to me, but I suspect the negatives outweigh the positives, in terms of how they keep people engaged, how they manage the amount of content, etc.

4 RespuestasEditado por Guardian, Archon Of Light: 11/28/2025 6:15:22 PM"Every year or 2?" It's been 8 flipping years Doing the same activities, with the same weapons, with the same formula Why do you think only 50 people are playing it right now ? We have seen all this old dog can do, time to move on and make a new game

3 RespuestasIt’s an old game and it needs to move on, hardware has moved on so should the game, should have finished when we beat the witness. I don’t know if I’d play it, but I certainly wouldn’t pre order I’d definitely play a beta and go from there.

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - antiguos
I’ve said for a while that Bungie should’ve moved to D3 at Beyond Light and left D2 intact, as it was. This game has become a bloated mess. I don’t think persevering with D2 is manageable on a long term basis. If Bungie want to continue with Destiny then I don’t think there’s much choice other than leaving D2 behind and moving to a separate, new D3. -

Adding more bloat to a game that can’t get new players is a death spiral.

3 RespuestasIf they started a destiny 3 after beyond light instead of the DCV than I would have atleast given it a fair shot but now if the rumours are true which I doubt are I won't bother with a Destiny 3 unless bungie show they can still do good with Destiny 2. When you look at everything we know the rumours are more likely false.

The live service model is the fast food trash model. Nothing is meant to be substantial as it's here for a few months then gone. I'd MUCH rather have the D1 experience and have a COMPLETE game that I can replay at any time. That is totally worth "starting fresh" twice a decade. Gearbox makes a LOT of mistakes, but one thing they get right is content updates and game releases. Borderlands is a far more customer minded business model than Destiny 2.

4 RespuestasYeah right. You’d buy it in a heart beat. As would I 🤣

I wouldn't mind it but as the sequel of destiny has shown, its always multiple step backwards before we are finally satisfied. They have to do it right immediately, I am talking about gun customization like we have now. Origin traits, armor sets. More Subclass development. D2 vanilla showed us how backwards they can go
