Featured seasonal exotics need to go.
The featured weapons and armor exotics system needs to go, Mods and champion mods etc are one thing, but not being able to use certain exotics for a whole season in certain activities is very annoying when it comes to build crafting.

They have said that it’s going away in Renegades, but it should have been scrapped way before then. A bad system is a bad system, but what do we expect from this Bungie? They put terrible ideas into the game that a 5 year old could tell them was a terrible idea, then take forever to reverse it. Destiny 2 is a zombie game atm, still shuffling along not realising it’s dead. A revival may happen if Renegades and Marathon are a massive success. And if that happens we’ll be shooting in the air for bacon. 😔

I might be the only one who thinks differently about this. Honestly if this wasn’t introduced idd still be running exotic class items on prismatic, or stompee in crusible ( at least now I and everyone else gets to tast a version of the game that’s also out there ) “yes hunter main”, now I have builds like kepri , and frostee somewhere else to run in the game. It’s finally not the same circle of oh this guys movement is so hard to compete against let me put on stompee to match it. But the other opponents is also chalked by the same restriction. And offcourse you get different meta, see wormgod caress on prism titan. But they can rotate that out nxt season. Honestly it’s a big L that Bungie is dropping this feature. The game has so much more to offer then just nerf exotic buff exotic each season. This way we couple play with the huge sandbox, yes it’s forced but at least it’s different, nxt season it’s back to 2 builds for the whole year wow fun man.

This is absolutely fair, or at least they should have a cycle of the stuff instead of it always being one way. Like +20% to all solar exotics this Saturday woohoo better Finality’s auger damage yippee! And Sunday buffs void by 20% instead. It would be an annoying gimmick for sure but the difference is it would promote build variety everywhere if there was no nerf to 20% for that buff in certain content. Idk overall the portal has great potential but they’re still trying to tame that thing and shape it correctly, they’ll get there or die trying😅

The featured exotics system is going away with renegades, it was announced not too long ago in a twid along with a bunch of other changes. New gear penalties are already gone as well. It's honestly the only reason I came back, that and the catch up chest. There was no way I was going to subject myself to that ridiculous 10-400 grind.

I don't mind the weapons too much, but the armor restriction should definitely go.
