Doesnt anyone just wanna play anymore?
Theres so much division in everything these days.
Remember when we just got on the game to enjoy it or to spend time with far away friends?
Now we just argue over semantics and opinions :(
I just want to play destiny with people that love it, I understand the devs sometimes feel like they don’t love the game anymore either but they won’t change my mind.
This game holds something special and no other game has remotely scratched the same itch.
If you feel the same send me a friend request, I’d be happy to play with anyone in any game mode

I jump on every now and again with friends, mainly for the banter. If they chose to play a different multi player game, I'd likely drop Destiny and jump on that instead. I wouldn't say Destiny is dead, but it is on life support, coughing up blood, and the kids are encouraging it to change the will.....

There is so much division because parts of the game some people found to be the fun and enjoyable bits were removed, and other people celebrate those removals. I'm a crafting fan, I was a raider, and I was an avid buildcrafter. But at the insistence of others crafting was gutted down to a few modular Exotics, every raid bar one is pointless because their loot wasn't brought forwards into a new loot system almost no one asked for but notable voices said would 'save the game' when it was announced, and the 'New Gear' system was vocally defended despite the fact it killed build variety. And most of these problems have not been fixed and have not been mentioned to be fixed; all whilst certain bad-faith argumenters here on the forums shout down anyone who tries to give any feedback, constructive or otherwise. There is division becuase of Bungie's decisions to appease only the most vocal minorities, and to do so at the expense of everyone else, without even stopping to poll the average player. There is division because Bungie neglect this forum, the only place where they have the moderation rights (because they don't on Reddit or Twitter), and allow trolls to fester and drive away any casual that [i]did[/i] try to come here to give feedback. There is division because people saw the things they loved taken away and they want them back. And until Bungie start addressing all of those things, the division will continue; and it should, becuase blind optimism and people burying their heads in the sand is how we got here.

2 RespuestasNo, because bungo has sh@t on me and told me it's chocolate enough times that the game isn't fun anymore. So the only outlet left is to scream at bungo to work on the "game" and not pointless UI changes.

Now what we have is the exploitive anti player version that is only *now* made slightly less bad with minor superficial updates. I and my former friend list of over 65 players have no more desire to continue playing the Portal. My last fire team has fallen silent. In time so will I. I mourn what Bungie murdered with its incompetency.

For me the problem is if I'm not levelling towards 550, then it's a waste of my time. That means I'm essentially locked out of anything that isn't quite frankly boring portal activities. I would love to play for fun, but at the moment it is more of a job than anything.

13 RespuestasI understand and agree with your concerns. They are valid and resonate with a large section of the player base , current, and former. The game itself has gradually shifted away from an open world with opportunities to make new friends, join up with randoms to finish or start public events.. The LFG , despite what the minority of people think , is absolutely unfriendly to those who need help. It's an egregious oversight, to say the least. They refuse to turn on matchmaking for all activities, something elitists praise and claim it would not be fun because random people aren't good.. then, in the same breath, encouraging LFG/FTF , which in and of itself is literally based on finding random people to play with.. It's contradictory and uncomfortable to even think about because you'd have to subdue logic. The grinding, then making the decision to make grinding even more frustrating with a new portal system.. Sunsetting, nerfing, modifiers resetting power , gatekeeping content , and on and on. I get it.

A lot of effort has been put in to make this a soulless, boring hamster wheel of a game where rather than building systems that bring people together, they've instead built a game that drives them apart (and inevitably away). Why else would solo activities be more rewarding than group ones? Why else would they hamper performance PvP with an anticheat that doesn't actually prevent cheating? Why else would they make a new player experience designed to confuse and bewilder new players? Why else would they remove all concept of a cohesive storyline only to replace it with random missions that make no sense out of context? Why else would they insist that this is a 'social' game when all it has is a chat system, a grouping tool and a clan system, none of which are actually fit for purpose? You've even said that you yourself get the feeling that the devs don't love the game they're working on. Have you ever considered that this is like the real-world situation where you're head-over-heels in love with someone but you're too blinded by that to realise that none of your friends and family can stand to see you with them and know they're wrong for you but you're just to blinkered to notice?

2 RespuestasPlay for fun? My guy that’s all there is. DLCs are the size of a seasonal area and actual story is like a few hours tops. There is no endgame content besides a harder version of what you’re already doing. This is all that’s left. The only people sticking it out are playing for fun. The rest of us stopped having fun and left.

1 Respuestait's a looter shooter, the entirety of the pve content is highly repetitive and eventually, unless you hit the wall and stop playing, you gotta endure a redonk amount of power deltas and negative modifiers to get anymore worthwhile loot - game basically dies when you are tired of it on top of that, the game basically forces you to grind a hundred hours before even getting to the loot you really want, game dies for a lot of people during that waste of time further, they force you to use new gear only in a ton of the portal, so you KNOW your gear is gonna be trash in the next xpac - throwing away all your time - another reason to not bother pvp has basically permanent power deltas until you play for 100+ hours, giving welfare power advantages to anyone who has played longer than you - this chases away more players people would love to 'just play' and have fun and get rewarded for it but bungie is now tightly controlling all pathways so they can tightly control how much time you spend and get rid of any shortcuts or anyone finally being happy and sitting on some gear for a while. it's a looter shooter utterly contaminated by live service monetization that chases metrics and cash shop revenue above all there is no player value in the vast majority of these new systems, players just want more content - not more grind without more content - it's a game made 50x more grindy just for greed, not for the players

1 RespuestaDestiny has something for everyone PvE, PvP, raids, dungeons, magic, technology, worlds to explore and more. Also multiple methods to feel a sense of accomplishment. If you look you can still find something to enjoy. The problem with Bungie’s current management is they are actively limiting the choices. Change for sake of changing instead of asking if it improves something. These UI changes are not improvements but limitations and elimination of choice. So far quality of life improvements only removed problems they recently created. You install to find enjoyment, you pay for improvements. So far not seeing anything worth putting more money towards.

1 RespuestaI agree with both sides. I still log on and play, but I’m with the players who have left, boycotting and are complaining about the game. There is a disconnect or straight up trolling from bungie. Former players who want this, that and other things in this game really don’t want Destiny, they want some other game shoved into the Destiny universe. I never needed to turn into a lightening ball or do secret puzzles to enjoy this game. They tried to get more players and ran away everyone.

The community is SO negative that there are literally NO posts for hours or days for newbies to join raids or teaching runs. The community can't recover when nobody is willing to help new players learn. It's just that simple. I think if you haven't even sherpaed a group this month , you have NO RIGHT to come in here and post about all the crap you don't like, cuz you're not helping whatsoever.

I have switched to playing just to play, but I only play pvp stuff and I like this better than chasing rare drop exotics to collect and never shoot anyways

1 Respuestalast night I literally had the best time just goofing with friends, no real agenda, kinda reminded me to have fun, regardless to the state of the game the new "orders" thing, like really do we need more nonsense in the game, they just need to fix the glitches not make more, for when this launches it will be patch after patch

2 RespuestasI play crucible often, for the sake of playing. It also happens to be a good way to level up. But besides conquests, it’s the only thing I engage with in the portal, and have a good time with, even when getting stomped. Art of the game. Same reason I shoot pool; for the art of the game. I’ll go one further and say I’m having fun with the Halloween altars event. Good way to just warm up and have a little fun.

1 RespuestaYep. This is my game. But, when every single update or new release of content seems to just be a broken mess it’s hard to stand behind an incompetent gaming studio. How is getting soft locked during the Halloween event possible? It’s supposed to be the main content to play to break up the boring portal and here we are and players are still getting soft locked. Bungle has no problem launching these quick fixes when the issues are beneficial to the players, but something as simple as the basic mechanics of the seasonal content remain broken. Just incompetence from the top-down. I am aware of the workarounds and realize that just wiping resets it, but then there are the random guardians reviving you and just burn through all the team revives…
