Editado por viiTactiiCZz: 8/4/2025 4:49:37 PMIf you submit a request to Bungie to delete your Bungie account (only available via GDPR - EU/CCPA - California) and they accept it, as part of the process in deleting your personal info/Bungie.net account due to the request, they will permanently ban all linked accounts tied to the Bungie account. It's done to prevent people from undoing/reversing the erasure request and to prevent people from doing exactly what you're attempting to do with the attempt at working around the in-place restrictions on unlinking. You can see here in another thread where someone wanted to delete their Bungie.net account - I told them they would be permanently banned from Destiny as part of the request and the answer was marked as correct by Bungie. They went through with the request as you will be able to see by the thread content being changed to the GDPR notice and their Bungie name being changed to 'Anonymous User (Deleted)'

I don't live in that state so I doubt this would apply to me and im not trying to get around a restriction im literally just trying to basically start fresh with a fresh account and a fresh xbox account im not trying to get around a restriction or a ban

Editado por EckyThump: 8/4/2025 5:09:50 PMHey there, just to clarify - all you want to do at this time is start over, with a completely new XBox account - no additional/existing accounts will be linked to it, etc, is that correct? In that case all you do is just launch the game on that new XBox account, you don't need to do anything with the older one, no need to delete or unlink anything, even the old Bungie Account. You can log in here on Bungie.net with the new XBox account's credentials and it will generate a new Bungie Account for it, that is all completely fine.

I thought in the terms of service it says you can only have 1 account

Editado por viiTactiiCZz: 8/4/2025 5:13:27 PMNo, you can have multiple Bungie.net accounts. The problem arises if you're using accounts to evade bans or restrictions placed on the accounts. If you're just on a new platform account then there is no issue.

I'm not doing it to avoid restrictions or bans i literally just want to start fresh with a new account like im a different person not to avoid bans or restrictions

And you can, I'm saying you would only have an issue with multiple accounts if you're using them to avoid bans or restrictions You've already said you aren't doing that, so clearly it doesn't apply to you and you wont have any issues. Sign into the new xbox account on Destiny and Bungie.net, forget about the old one, done.
