It's unfortunate and not an answer I like to give, but in the final step of activation you were asked to confirm your understanding of four statements, the first of which was, "I understand that Cross Save cannot be deactivated within 90 days of purchasing Silver, even if the purchase occurred before activation." You checked this and the other three statements, before it let you press the last button to activate cross-save.
