Guardian ranks. Hawthorne. Ikora. Zavala. Shaw Han. Ghost projections. 90% of the emotes, sparrows, ships. Character light/power level in all of the power capped activities. They’re all pointless.

The system is half baked and for the most part not functioning the way it was originally pitched; but with that said; when I have to dip into LFG getting rank11s on my team for a fill or when Im bored, it is generally a smooth run.

Regarding ranks, I'm 1 triumph off 9, my last ACC was 10, but I'm staying at 8 & when frontiers hits I'm staying 5 which is what I'll drop back to. I used to love ranking up the season over my head, legit, & hitting 1000, but I really don't care about these ranks anymore I don't use it as a way to see a guardians ability either, sure a lot of 11s are very good, but a lot clearly bought parts of it too & are utterly useless, whilst I've seen cracked 6s who simply don't care to play the entire game. To get above 7 all you need is a wallet & a mic

You want me to guild Conqueror every season??? NOPE.

I agree, guardians ranks means nothing and should just be abandoned. Bungie tried it and it was not a success.

Just ignore it. You're better off for it. It means nothing. We know what the 11s are anyway..

From your observation, the guy killing adds most likely doing Path/bounty. As for the other guy, he likely wanted to try out the glitch. It is only Vanguard ops, players like to do all sorts which nothing to do with the objectives. A private strike will solve these misconceptions. Nothing to do with G rank. Don't read too much into it. G rank maybe pointless to some but it is a sort of achievement or aim for some other. It may not tell the skill of the player but it is for sure another venue for player engagement.

I dunno, the collections tab is just as useful.
