Not much to say, just think it’s pretty good

I liked it at first but I’m constantly getting match made with teammates not don’t know how to do dps… Every time, well very consistently the bottom player has somewhere between 300k-500k boss damage. The second player has like 900k-1.5million boss damage Then there’s me that has like 3mill-4.5million boss damage 🤔 I don’t get it. I keep messaging them like dude you gotta up your numbers hahahaha

The idea is great, the execution pretty bad. To much immunity. To much mechs. To much negative mods. (ffs its 90% immune phases) Rewards feel very lackluster in normal. (One blue engram anyone? xD) The revive timer and tokens together with wipes really ruin normal runs and matchmaking in general.

14 RespuestasI'm confused by it. My team mates literally spam their supers while mine barely regens, spawn in to first encounter and a team mate leads by using their super just moments after landing and I cannot see any rally flags there. They use heavy ammo like its going out of fashion and I'm scavenging the entire time. Am I missing something?

17 RespuestasBesides not being tuned for average players, it is not very engaging. Just bosses, and many I do not know as I do not play dungeons. Do not know the mechanics and die too frequently, I am habitually in the wrong spot with a dozen adds shooting me, no matter where I am. The whole thing is not exciting, and in no way says, play this mode over and over and over. I have tried it a couple times and not gotten a single thing worth keeping. At this rate it is no better than a strike for loot. Not what the live stream propped it up to be. As usual, more hype less substance.
-
1 RespuestaI don’t like the loot but I do like the activity.
-
Best GG event so far imo.
-
1 RespuestaI’m enjoying this mode as well. My only complaint is that I would like to have MORE bosses in the rotation and have them appear at random more. Played several rounds last night and kept getting the same 5 bosses in the same order.

Editado por Tis-but-a-scratch: 3/13/2025 12:00:24 PMDon’t like it. Requires meta builds and punishes the person trying to deal with ads or using a roaming super. Not good for the average player. Extremely repetitive and unimaginative

4 RespuestasRushdown? Court of Blades? Both of them aren't as fun as they hyped them up to be, imo. I don't know if somehow at 28 years old my brain is processing less information but, Rushdown, Court, Nether, and in general recent activities have just confused the hell out of me to the point where I have no idea what's going on. In both Rushdown and Court I feel like I have no time to breathe at all. I feel like I can't take a second to see what modifiers are active, buy whatever runes I want to activate, or just plan my course of action. I'm finding that in both modes, before I can even aim and fire my gun my teammates have already melted the boss and have moved on to the next stage. Before I can hit the ammo box and collect more ammo my teammates have already melted the boss and have moved on to the next stage. Before I can buy whichever runes I want to buy my teammates have already melted the boss and have moved on to the next stage. And then all of a sudden we have reached the end and it's time to collect our rewards and I didn't do a single thing because I've been confused about what to donfrom the start. And what's maybe more confusing to me is that, whether it's a bug or intentional I have no idea, immune enemies are able to be damaged. Immune enemies with a shield that require you to do a mechanic to remove their shield, are being damaged and melted instantly despite their shield being up. No joke, I've watched my teammates melt a IMMUNE boss in one second of the fight starting. I don't know man, recent activities in D2 have not been fun for me. I'm finding myself more and more confused at the design philosophy of some of these recent activities.

Honestly, it doesn't help that it's a boss rush mode and it came out the exact same day as Court of Blades. Which is also a boss rush mode.

elitegtryin to work with whats left.. for now - 4/3/2026 12:46:30 PM
I waited till day 3 (really cool that they change encounters daily): TL;DR > at least by day 3 this thing is kickin (good), depends on activity, rewards need something else day 1: pretty fun, tried em all but the ramp-up in difficulty for zavathun was over-tuned... rest maybe too easy day 2: the activities I felt were not great especially the last one, I was unfamiliar with some, only tried expert day 3: tried every mode, ramp up in difficulty was perfection imo in expert mode, no problem if you gotta recycle one activity (nightmare), in matchmade expert had 2 lvl10 guardians, 1 died, no revives.. and we just managed to pass (me lvl 6 > died the least :) 2nd most damage.. we did have last guardian saves a few) I generally go in same build (arc soul vesper of radius warlock, ccx[kt+ao], ex diris, hammerhead [tl+rr]) The activity I think will be considered worthy, especially the various levels (good idea > needing to pass warmup/regular to do expert)... but it seems the reward drops are limited in interest... maybe should add some other loot pools into it if not designing many weapons for this event. (should at least earn Vanguard Engrams.. but imagine if it rotated different vendors/activities loot pools.. now we are talkin) It is nice to see activities I have never seen, when the difficulty scales right thats nice... its just the rewards that don't seem to be there really... even with 3 weapon drops at the end. Overall good work.. and important to bring-in non pvp element to these games.
I think in the future a stronger tie in to the gladiator theme would be very cool.. in terms of an active arena around with fans.. visibly seeing rewards move up as you pass tiers would continue that.. and of course a thumbs up/down play in some way... rating for guardian or disposing of enemy..etc
-
Cool story bro

Gets boring quick, IMHO
-
Think the same. Wish it would be a little harder but that might be just me
-
Agreed. Enjoyed the 1st couple of run throughs. Not sure about long term replayability but hey, it's only for 3 weeks.
-
Apart from when you have to communicate glyphs
-
8 RespuestasThat savathun fight kind of a chore though
-
There is no reason for that fake Riven boss to be in there however. Literally the shortest damage phases I have ever seen. The fact they make these bosses and put them behind a time limit for this whole thing makes it feel worse to me. Some bosses are fine, but ones like that are just terrible.
-
Short and sweet, and the reward is generous. 2 ascendant shards for an expert run and it’s less sweat than a GM.
-
The ascendant shards are worth it. Now I can just play PvP and not have to grind GMs for awhile.
-
it's a ton better than the nether, that's for sure
