• It’s actually in a better place if it had updates and kept to the original core of destiny. No seasonal rubbish. Just a new world rotated in every six months with couple of strikes and a dungeon. One raid a year with the grind to get weapons that actually make a difference in end game. And no more having a cod piece in my face when going to neuroma…….my opinion anyway.

 • So it's not in a better place?

 • I think the core of the game is in a better place as if you have more d1 content it would sell. More d2 content will wipe the franchise out. Just my opinion but I think d2 is just not got that feeling that d1 still has……just log in and listen to that intro…

 • The original core of destiny was play an expansion then have nothing to do until the next one. No clamber, no fov slider, slower overall gameplay, worse weapons, worse build crafting, worse supers. Only thing D1 did better was prison of elders, oryx in kingsfall and cooler, memorable campaign moments
No clamber, no fov slider, slower overall gameplay, worse weapons, worse build crafting, worse supers.
In my opinion, all these things that you have mentioned has actually made D2 worse. Because D1 had a shorter shelf life, there were less weapons, but they all were different and there were some damn good ones. We have many more now but there are batches that are exactly the same apart from the name and the colour, and because we are forced to use certain loadouts, the majority are useless and just fill our vaults. Build crafting and supers were not worse, just simpler. We were limited to 3 supers, but they were damn effective, and only used when absolutely necessary, which made gun play more relevant, instead of this fiasco of using supers every few seconds. There were less bugs, less cheats, increasing power level actually had an effect so you were rewarded for grinding. Exotics actually felt special and powerful. Cross play didn't exist and it was not available on PC. Hell, the more I think about it, the more I really miss Destiny 1

 • I beg to differ, I think the best thing D1 did was end. That's what people need in my opinion; a beginning, a middle, and an end.
