It's not really incompetence. A LOT of video games out there have their own issues, and each dev team has certain ways of handling things. Bungie hasn't had the trust of their player base for three simple reasons and arguably has tarnished their reputation from their Halo days. Reason #1: In just about every DLC launch, there has been more bugs than actual meaningful impacts to gameplay. Reason 2#: Nerfing things that don't need to be changed. (I'm looking at you, needless change to Grand Overture.) Reason #3: Downright shameless practice of locking content, weapons, armor, and subclasses behind paywalls, discouraging new players from wanting to invest time in the game.

Nothing works properly. I can't tell you how disappointing it is to run a third rate activity like Tomb over and over and be forced to use tonics to try to get the one piece of loot worth having only to have the tonics not work, the weapon you want barely drop, and the drops you do get to be weird combinations of perks that have no synergy. Want a Gridskipper with 100 recoil direction and perpetual motion/frenzy for pvp? Good luck. But here...have repulsor brace/frenzy or lone wolf/ destabilizing rounds.

This is an amazing game that runs incredibly well even on old pc’s and has honestly the best feeling gunplay of any shooter ive ever played. That being said, the set bonus armor we’re getting next year and a tier system for weapons could’ve come much faster Bugs get fixed too late at least ones that are not beneficial to the player. Most exotics and exotic armors are outdated. Like 90% of them. Unusable. Especially the exotics just being inferior to 1-2 good ones in pve really limits my playtime. Why run anything else than titan consecration or rimecoat warlock? And last season it was getaway artist with the artifact. Such a waste of potential. All this development time for cool exotics and a tiny update could revitalize incentive to play PvE again. And when they do do updates for exotics its usually game breaking and they have to revert it lmao. Anyway, great game. Bad decisions. Not willing to seperate pvp from pve any more is also a huge L making most exotics useless in pve.

I'm glad I didn't waste my time with episode. Note to anyone watch before you buy it, it should be the number 1 rule in buying anything.
