9 years I've been playing Destiny. I saw its highs and downs. I was excited to play every day and was so angry that I was deleting and downloading this game every day. This game gifted me so much happy and new connections and took so much time and nerves.
But now... I feel nothing. I see something similar to my favorite game. But this is not it. Funny enough that Destiny 1 still my favorite game. But not Destiny 2. There is no more joy of rewards and godrolls, no fun or competitive in crucible, no more motivation to play. Maybe I need a rest, you may think. I've rested after Final Shape. I don't have money to buy and try something new, so I've returned to my "favorite" game. And for month I don't understand what is so changed...
I understand that everything needs to grow and change. But now I have feeling that Bungie lost something important... maybe even long ago. Maybe I've just only realized.

Play private matches do spark that passion

9 years your gonna get burnt out especially when destiny has had a rough run of it. Might just be it for you and destiny. Maybe go and play other games you own for a while

4 RespuestasBungie sold its soul to the highest bidder a long time ago… D1 was destiny, D2 is a hollow void.

Editado por ABADDON_WOLFFE: 11/2/2024 5:57:37 AMI mean...i wouldn't go that far BUT It does feel like it lost a bit of what it used to be. 🤔 Would i stop playing it? Nope, but i don't dedicate as much time as i used to.

Yeah of course it’s changed ….we knew this was coming . Less and less people playing now and more leaving . PvP is what it is now .

2 RespuestasThey can't get you hooked on Marathon if you're still hooked on D2.

It happens with every game, I though I'd be playing WoW forever, after almost 20 years, had to say bye.

Bungie has long since lost their soul. There are plenty of great, talented people on the development team, but the higher-ups calling the shots are not very bright and are just blindly chasing money. They no longer make games. They make a flashy product to impress investors. They make platforms to sell digital content in. The only reason I'm still playing is because the remnants of what used to be a great game can still be found from time to time. It's a great experience when it happens.

2 RespuestasIt started to lose that dedicated player identity around the witch queen for me. I skipped some seasons but still find myself using this game as an anchor while I play other games like wukong or Space Marine 2. It's something I always come back to because the reason I started wasn't an activity or a loot drop system. It was simply the gameplay. We all have different experiences with the same content. For me, the game is in a lul while it figures out what it really wants to be, and it has a good finale to build off of. So I'm looking forward with cautious optimism, not worrying too much about specific systems still being untouched. I only worry if the game feels the same so I can keep a bedrock of good fps gameplay around while I continue to expand my list of completed games.
