It's doesn't make sense, especially since Wicked Implement has never been meta and Conditional Finality is a raid exotic and only around 10-15% of the population actually has it.
Then like I mentioned you have Polaris Lance which can get anti barrier with the artifact mod and unstoppable because of ignitions. There is also Collective obligation which has unstoppable and can apply suppress giving it overload. Not to mentionast season Darci could get anti barrier from the artifact and can jolt letting it stun overloads and barriers.
So what's with the inconsistency? While I suppose Wicked Implement could stun all 3 champions, Conditional Finality would still be limited to 2 just like the other listed exotics.

1 RespuestaChampion mechanics need to go

That Bungie used “can be used to stun overload champions already so doesn’t get anti barrier” is complete BS because Touch of Malice also has anti overload capabilities but it works with anti barrier. More like “we want players to be forced to get new weapons instead of enjoying the ones they have already earned” considering the big issue is that Wicked Implement wasn’t a raid weapon and can be bought by anyone from the memorial to lost light they made sure it wouldn’t be “too good” for the players while they ignored a raid weapon that has the ability to stun overloads as well. Bungie needs to stop trying to use what people are excited about or talking about in streamers twitch streams as their source of information and actually think for themselves before making stupid decisions like no anti barrier CF of WI. Rather than using what people are hyped about as a way to punish the players you instead reward people who see how old exotics will be good in new seasons. Want to not have to keep reworking exotics because they aren’t getting used maybe try not nerfing anything the players gravitate towards into the ground so hard that you don’t have to give them love to get people using them again.

4 RespuestasHonestly they should do away with champion mods and make certain weapons with intrinsic champion capabilities. Scouts/Pulses barrier HC/AR unstoppable Etc This should include specials and heavies. The first column of the artifact should be related to seasonal gear getting buffs. Just my 2 cents

8 RespuestasIt would have been a triple champ exotic Bungie will allow 2 , but never 3

Last season I would use conditional and radiant orbs. Really sucks I can’t do that anymore to deal with both un stops and barriers
-
Take away champions and destiny 2 actually would be a more fun experience period. Been saying that since day one, all they are a arbitrary loadout nuisance

1 RespuestaWicked slows on hit so every bullet technically can stun overload or unstops which means it is technically an intrinsic anti-champion. Polaris can have the chance to stun on the 5th hit so it gets around that problem. Conditional is the same as wicked in the sense that every shot can stun a champion which means it is also technically intrinsically an anti-champ weapon. I cant gaurentee thats the reason but im fairly sure thats why. If you remember back to unstop fusions, chill clip wouldnt proc regardless of where you were in the mag if you were aiming and unstop wouldnt work if you werent aiming. It seems to be something along those lines (in this case unstop and chill clip can stun the same champion meaning theres no overlap but unstop did overrule chill clip)

I would say it’s because ease of use. Polaris lance/collective require a bit more setup. Lance requires 15 headshots to proc ignition without spec for scorch. And collective requires externally activating an effect to subsume it to spread. Both are powerful in their own right. Wicked and conditional however are a lot easier to activate consistently. In onslaught I didn’t even need anti barrier with conditional, I could easily burst dmg them before they could put up a barrier.
