My biggest issue: My vault does not have space for "ok" rolls. It's god roll or none. If I don't have the patience to farm god rolls with terrible RNG and mediocre traits.. what happens?
How many vets have the same issue I have?
What does that do to population?
I feel like the better solution would be to make red borders more rare, or make the leveling up of said weapons more grindy.
I know gamers want loot now, but comparing grind vs RNG, I'll take grind any day, even if its a super long one.

37 RespuestasSo don't keep ok rolls. Just wait until you get a good one and keep that. Like why keep a gun you know sucks just because it's new?
-
4 RespuestasI have that issue. I still have Y1 weapons in my vault as keepsakes. That said with the introduction of crafting there's really no attachment to any weapons I would get because they lacked any value or excitement to share with friends so I have no qualms just tossing the damn thing in the trash. Where as my first Y1 leviathan raid weapons hold sentimental value of myself and my friends accomplishing something awesome, or my Trials of the Nine weapons laying around cause we decided to try even though I was the only pvp player in the group. When they introduced weapon crafting all of that stopped existing. Its just another red border to be deleted at the end of the day. Then when the weapon was crafted, I sat at the GoA/LW encounters just farmed the level ups. No unique or exciting moments to share with friends. Just "yup another check box marked".
-
then you delete the ok rolls and realize that the weapons will stay for most of the year and you have that time to get god rolls 👍

8 RespuestasMeans we get to enjoy grind again… huge w I say

1 RespuestaThere IS no grind with crafting

5 RespuestasI've been playing since launch and none of these weapons seem good enough for me to farm for. At least with red borders I would farm just in case there was a buff to certain weapon types and I had the pattern in my back pocket. Now I got one of each of the weapons for collection purposes and I will not be farming them, because none seem like they will out class anything I already have. There is literally nothing for me to do this season and onslaught is just boring. Here's hoping the dungeon is the best dungeon they ever made.

2 RespuestasI'm not spending time doing a reprised activity to farm these mid af weapons. Happy for you if you're having fun but if Bungie wants to keep listening to the streamers and shitting on casual players who don't have the time or inclination to keep pulling the RNG lever I will not keep validating that with my time or money. This was the lowest expansion launch in the history of the game apparently and I truly hope it gets even worse with their choices. Listen to your players and not streamers.

1 RespuestaEditado por Crysiss: 10/11/2024 8:43:31 AMBungie's decision to remove crafting for seasonal weapons is incredibly disappointing and detrimental to the player experience. It has led to an increased reliance on farming specific encounters, such as the final boss of Shattered Throne, due to the frustration of dealing with poor RNG. Even with targeted tonics, the drop rates remain unfavourable. It's simply not feasible to continue stockpiling random rolls in our vaults out of fear that we may never get them again due to RNG grind. The limited vault space, combined with the vast amount of gear already in the game including weapons, armour, and exotic class items, makes this unsustainable. I bet given the increased number of players investing countless hours into seasonal activities, I fear Bungie may interpret this as validation for removing crafting for seasonal loot and consider repeating this decision in the future. if anyone at bungie sees this. please get real, this is awful.

I used to be a no life, I used to find prestige and feel envied when getting god rolls, and furious when a new player was getting the loot I was praising so much. Now I log on, play a couple BS episode or act or whatever “go to a destination and complete 5 patrols” and then I just give up. I see myself as a big fan of this game, but i really have a hard time enjoying grinding or dedicating myself to it, even in my spare time.

Listen, streamers have to be the only people in the game who have access to God rolls by way of the grind being out of reach for the broader community. That way, their content is more compelling when they review the weapons. It is these negative changes that act as tax for the unofficial advertisement wing of Bungie. Why would we want to PLAY with great weapons when their rarity can make certain players feel good about themselves, or better yet, we can watch more worthy players use them? Perhaps one day, there will only be people “watching” D2… as the last streamer logs off for the final time to make their “why I’m quitting Destiny 2” video.

4 RespuestasEditado por Sen: 10/11/2024 3:37:54 PMI wonder what would happen if they just increased the amount of patterns that needed to be obtained in order to craft. Would the random drops have more value? Would RNG be seen as a Bonus into the progress of obtaining the crafted gun? How would they implement it? Would every drop of a gun be contributing to me getting the pattern and have me get 100? Or would it still be RNG and we need 20. I'm interested to see what they could do with this idea and what would happen. I feel like if Bungie got rid of the RNG aspect of the game or got rid of most it, the game would be healthier. It wouldn't be seen as an addiction for a slot machine roll on a gun or armor. "You do this and you get this but it will take some time to do it."
-
7 RespuestasI wish they were craftable, it was more of a custom personal touch when you can build your own version of a gun.
-
6 RespuestasNo matter how many times YTers tell me it's good for the game, it's not. The player counts are terrible. You can't convince ppl to grind for a god roll that might be 1/1000 to get for a 0.5% improvement over a gun I can craft. Sorry, I just don't care
-
11 RespuestasI find it funny that now since season crafting is taken away, you'll get more youtubers pushing the you need this godroll weapon. It works better for Bungie ad it adds more players grinding. Also why is it streamers have the so called godrolls literally the first day the dlc comes out and we have to grind for months.
-
6 RespuestasThis thread is full of elitist -blam!- who want this game to be a job. How the -blam!- was crafting hurting any of you basement dwellers? No wonder the population keeps dropping, if bungie keeps listening to the BDF this game will be dead before frontiers even has a chance to get off the ground.

3 RespuestasIt’s surprising that so many people have masochistic tendencies…. grinding/doing same thing again and again despite being bored of it and still loving it, moreover, telling Bungie to remove crafting so that the grinding feels more excruciating, no wonder dominatrixes drive Ferraris nowadays..
-
Terrible simple minded change that will keep the hamsters on a wheel but players like myself won’t waste time grinding any rolls because I don’t need them. I would’ve grinding patterns to revisit some rolls later but obviously not now. And I want them to see the metrics, I’m not grinding any of this.

5 Respuestas
terrible RNG
You can target farm with the tonics.

5 RespuestasThough I disagree I thank you for giving actual feedback instead of just straight crying like others do. I appreciate actual feedback, other than, “this is boring I don’t want to run it”. Inventory argument is a good one. Personally I like the grind being back. Not all the time mind you, but it keeps things fresh. I do find it annoying to put the loot in Salvation mainly. I do think it’s needed to be added to other things as well. Back to the point though, if they announced all weapons are once again are being added I would delete 3/4 of my vault. The problem is that half the guns we have are trash, but we don’t want to get rid of them because they’re not in the game.
-
At first I thought “ well they could have at least added focusing” then I looked at the weapons and said nvm I don’t care about any of them anyway. Ppl are concerned about armour changes in Apollo, I’m more concerned that this game won’t even be around by Apollo if this crap keeps up. I’ve been a die hard fan since TDB and even I don’t give a crap about doing anything in the game anymore. Usually I just take a break when I feel like this but I just took a long break from D2 and I’m still bored to tears, I really hope this dungeon is fun.

1 RespuestaEditado por Dr Livingston 9: 10/11/2024 3:21:13 AMi think the only items that should be craftable are raid weapons. i like surprises and random rolls. i think they should dramatically get rid of exotic quests and have it like desitny 1 a real random drop in multiple activities. i guess keep some exotic weapon quests but limit them more than they do now. maybe get a really rare whisper of the worm from crucible. exotics are too plentyfull. but hey we all have a way the game should be to float our boat. I like the idea of enhanceable perks to grind for better than having every weapon craftable. I remember in destiny 1 getting my first exotic from a random chest on the moon the red death.
-
Even though I am not for seasonal crafting, I am for seasonal focusing on weapons, like with the old onslaught. I do miss focusing.
-
1 RespuestaI dont really have an issue with either, craftable weapons nor with Vault space, I do have an issue with the people telling others what to do with said vault space. I followed those "just delete it you won't ever use it" guys before with the sunsetted weapons and now look. Imagine anyone who also listened to them and deleted their Kindled Orchid Kill Clip + Rampage rolls only for the weapon to be reinstated with no current way of obtaining it again.
-
1 RespuestaNobody wants to grind out anything.
-
1 RespuestaMaking the episode weapons non craftable but the GOS raid ones craftable was the most backwards crap I've seen lol it'll make more sense having the episode weapons be craftable and the road ones not as for one the episode content and weapons won't stay around for good where as raid weapons will also raids are meant to be replayed not only for the exotic tied to them but the chance of a God rolled weapon taking that replayability makes raids worthless once everything is crafted and the exotic obtained
