Bungie’s own words…

“We’ve seen a ton of positive feedback on this decision from players who appreciate being able to play at their own pace, rather than feeling compelled to chase Pinnacles each week."
That statement is in [i][b]their[/b][/i] words, so a reversal of the decision implies the inverse.
Therefore:
We [b]don't[/b] give a 💩 about your feedback, positive or negative.
We [b]don't[/b] appreciate players being able to play at their own pace
We [b]do[/b] want players to feel compelled to chase pinnacles each week
We [b]are[/b] trying to artificially increase playtime metrics
Not making a judgment here, just stating the logical conclusion.
As far as I’m concerned this is typical Bungie. They just don’t know how to get out of their own way.
My prediction is that this is going to push more players away than bring players back. The pinnacle grind is useless given that we can’t overlevel anything anymore.
This is a huge slap in the face to most of the player base.

They also said they were making PvP more gunplay focused & look how that turned out again. Believe nothing that comes from bungo & you won't be disappointed

I think it's hilarious that they still think leveling is content, when not only Is it for a contest activity where your power is already limited anyways (so grinding 10 levels to be in skull range if not sword which is negligible) and you already have power matching in every aspect of the game so realistically it's entirely pointless for those without a compulsion/enjoyment of seeing their number go up.

I completely agree and can't upvote this enough. Bungie, you need to reverse this decision. You changed it back in season 21 for a damn good reason. This is a terrible decision. Literally every post for 10 pages is full of YOUR PLAYERS telling you this is a bad decision. Listen for once, like you did when you removed the pinnacle cap grind in the first place.

Over the course of the week, I'm surprised that people are defending their decision with adding 10 levels over something like a VoG or GoS refresh... y'know... VoG makes sense with the anniversary dungeon. 10 levels don't make sense for any player at any point because the grind is too quick for little change/reward. It benefits no part of the playerbase aside from the people who want the illusion of progress in their playtime which will be short-lived anyway, leading them to the same problem as before. Refreshing the raids will instead benefit the game permanently and make the Double Featured Raid + Dungeon rotation feel a lot better because ALL raids will be relevant, not just 6/8. There are clear answers in front of them, and they continue to drag their feet with implementing longlasting and impactful changes.

It's a statistical bet. They are desperate and know they are losing players anyway. On the other side the hardcore vets will continue dedicating whatever time needed regardless of what it takes. Why trying to engage the more casual ones when the most dedicated won't/don't worry whether they spend 3 or 10 hours every day?

6 RespuestasI mean the easy solution here is that the change isn’t targeted at the people mentioned in the quote above. With the power leader changes, for most endgame content where power matters only one person needs to have that extra power, you’re brought to five under them. It’s targeted at endgame players to give more reason to engage with the higher tier content. Anyone who doesn’t want to engage in the grind can have their power boosted, the only activities where it won’t be a factor is solo Master/Legendary lost sectors and solo dungeon runs, but if you’re soloing dungeons you’re an endgame player. This is a lot of words just to say it’s not really that big of a deal if you’re more casual. What should be more concerning is the insane requirements for the artifact power that got implemented in Final Shape, as this being more lenient would off-set this change for those more casual or unlucky players.

1 Respuestathey just want to force the players to play more Destiny again. the players are now to blame for there only being a 25k peak. I dont care, it was my last Destiny DLC. When the year is over Ill be gone. Maybe even before... I definitely wont grind for power levels

It was never this bad in Destiny 1 because you had something to work with. Now you have something that whips out your progress every few months so you have to constantly start over doing the same boring prosses and it's been this way for years. This developer refuses to learn as many other developers have years ago, how to design a progression system that keeps their player base engaged in the game. What this developer uses is a "power grind" or some other stupid thing when power really doesn't mean anything and it literally shows [b]they don't know what they are doing as a developer.[/b] Sony needs to remove them from this game Asap. Adding the power grind is only an excuse to raise the level for activities you have had to relevel up to re-enter the activities. They have done absolutely nothing to improve the gamer's experience. As a developer, they have only made things worse for the game/gamer.

I was excited about the new episode with the dungeon. I had every intention of playing it out and purchasing the next year. I think I'm finally done being disrespected by them. There are too many other great games to play.
