an exotic on an episode, ie to continue the episode you have to do the exotic quest. after getting all the way to i assume the last boss, my favorite thing happens you die and go back to start. if you quit you have to start the whole quest again. no option to even look for a fireteam. sorry but quests and episodes should not be for just op players. i do not do dungeons or raids or even exotic quests. if i cannot even do the story line then really no point to this game.

14 RespuestasI quit the game today. Have spent hours on the final boss fight. This isn't fun. Worst dlc in game history.

7 RespuestasI definitely agree the practice of putting Exotic Quests in as a requirement to continue the story needs to stop. It’s challenge content, not narrative content. Let the story be for people who just want to play the game and enjoy the narrative. Let people who want a challenge and dig into the lore more enjoy the exotic missions. Presage was the perfect template. It was short, challenging at first, and every time you played it you got a little more lore. I loved every second of it, but I wouldn’t have wanted it to be part of Season of the Chosen’s main story. It would have just driven away any casual narrative players…and those players are needed to keep the game going.

Took me 117 minutes the second time. Not good bungie.
-
Same thing happened to me, soloed the mission to the final boss and quit in frustration. Then was lucky to team up with a fireteam and crushed the mission in about ten minutes. It’s was so easy with these players help that it felt like a standard strike. Still without the help I can understand your frustration, the exotic mission should not be tied to the story line.
-
3 RespuestasYeah, that was a nasty surprise for me. Had to leave the game to take care of something, and boom, back at the start. Just killed my motivation to play.
-
I'm wiping repeatedly at that platforms bit because I run to jump from one platform to the other and that stupid jump bug when your character drops slightly on the terrain, jump doesn't work and you just drop off the side of the platform and die. This resets that particular room, rinse repeat. I've been on for well over an hour tonight and to keep wiping to that nonsense is just too sickening for words. I don't mind difficult content and if a mob or mobs wipe me out because I haven't quite worked out the best strat for an encounter, that's fine but to repeatedly fail because of some crap issue with the space bar mechanic is pure special needs.

65 RespuestasEditado por Roach: 8/28/2024 10:10:51 AMSomething is going on in this game, Bungie are desperate to make players engage more. Dual Destiny was largely ignored by the playerbase. Then suddenly we get alerts telling us that chat our chat is turned off and how you can turn it on. I turned it off on purpose, I never use it, and have zero desire to turn it back on. Why do they care ?? Then there was the "quest" about going to see Saint about Trials, that you can only get rid of by opening Saint as a vendor, which will probably count as playing Trials. This just as Trials numbers are the lowest ever in the franchise. Now we have a seasonal story requiring you to do the Exotic Mission to progress it, never seen that before. No great loss there for me as it's clearly yet another gay couple storyline and I am bone tired of hearing about the Alphabet People in all aspects of life. It just seems that Bungie decided that you are going to play this new mission to see Progressive Love Story Part II, whether you want to or not. But it's just another example of Bungie's tired formula of tedious boring mechanics, jumping puzzles and bullet sponge health gated bosses. Not having to listen to Failsafe is a major plus of skipping the newest chore too. Win Win for me.

Zero checkpoints. 2024
-
Err, there are plenty of checkpoints so I don’t think you got very far. Normal is pretty doable for solo players though. Final boss took a couple tries cause I wasn’t equipped for range
-
2 RespuestasEditado por Oinkthebaconking: 8/28/2024 7:31:00 PMTold you it would be buggy and empty of checkpoints. Bungie is going to do less than the bare minimum until they get replaced and Sony takes over completely. They sold Sony a Studio and made promises they knew they couldn't keep to jack the price up, and now Bungie is screwed. The fact you're even still trying to play this mess just tells me you have no self esteem.
-
Wait until next year.....exotic missions are to be sold separately in a bundle
-
I was surprised to find out that there aren’t any checkpoints in this mission either, but it can be done quickly after running it a few times. I’m always down to help others out
-
4 RespuestasNot sure why people say that it is a skill issue when the main point here seems to be that the mission doesnt have checkpoints. And you can look for a fireteam even if you're in a mission without checkpoints, just make sure that you invite them and have them join you instead of summoning - because the latter will take you back to orbit. So you can play all the way to the boss and then invite.
-
4 RespuestasWait what? So there's there's no checkpointing at all in the mission, as in the normal mission? Not even at the banner points?
-
I'm helping all the solo players that don't want to do the mission, run the mission. Either add me in game by going to my bungie profile, type `/join Yoshi32123#2320` in the command window in-game (might be full), or join this server to queue in. My friend and I will be in voice while running it, but you don't need to be: https://discord.gg/6nxpUHUa5W Come get it done, ezpz

3 RespuestasEditado por Salty-47: 8/28/2024 11:25:44 PMIt's weird that the exotic mission that's part of the seasonal story would be part of the seasonal story. It's almost like it's considered story content for the episode or something. You know, kind of like how all the other previous exotic seasonal quest missions have. It's odd that it's an issue now, but it wasn't an issue months ago or even a year ago.

1 RespuestaI joined someone literally at the boss, and got the weapon. Literally took me 2 minutes tops. On LFG. Literally. Did I say "literally" already?
-
Ffs! I'm about to run this "impossible" mission 3 times for failsafe quest. Who needs a guide?
-
Dang. Didn’t know there were this many people with issues. If anyone needs help just message me.
-
2 RespuestasIf you want help running the mission, I can help you. But it may not be until the weekend due to work and possible timezone difference depending on where you're situated. (I'm in New Zealand)

20 RespuestasAs others have stated. Skill issue
-
3 RespuestasCan you imagine being upset that you get a new mission that drops an exotic weapon that’s absurdly powerful and totally unique.

5 RespuestasIf you had to restart after dying then you were not at the final boss. Death at the Tormentor (2) puts you at the start of that section, death at Tormentor+Subjugator puts you to Tormentor (2) and death during the final boss (vex hydra) puts you at the start of the boss fight.
