Its literally been years of the deadpan "they just don't know what they're doing over there" in almost every single pvp anger thread. The times they are a-changin.

There’s about a dozen guys on these forums that I’d do cartwheels to see them delete their characters haha. Most of them don’t play and are part of the 1900 gang. They’re refusing to let go completely and it’s sad to watch them have meltdowns over a game they don’t play. Forums only get weirder these days so this guy is an anomaly. Who knows… Maybe he can lead by example.

Older players have become so jaded and miserable that they need to move toward bringing in fresh blood. Everyone knew FS was as closing out 10 year old story so it was for us vets not newbs. That will change next year for sure. I still have a blast shooting things, creating builds and I personally loved FS so I have plenty to do this year. As I get bored I’ll play more PvP. Shooting is way too smooth for me to put it down.

I think that's probably a good approach but I'm also kind of afraid of what "younger" players would consider good. Who was this last stuff for? I guess from my perspective it will be "even younger" players.

I think you’re going to see more things like onslaught. Easy activities that can be done on a more challenging mode. I personally like onslaught. The trick is attaching solid weapons and armor to grind for. The shiny thing really helps with older players who want the little extra difference on a weapon. I’m curious if they will bring dedicated servers too. Obviously Marathon will have them so if they’re making smaller batches of content they could do the lifting involved to move D2 into those servers. PvP players would have a stroke lol. They have carried the game at its lowest points and deserve it.

I genuinely don't understand this sentiment. This is just assuming everyone who is unhappy with the current state of the game is a "hater" and "miserable". And you what, want everyone who is unhappy, everyone who disagrees with your liking to the current game to just leave? Are you serious right now? What kind of room temperature IQ mindset is that? I understand that you may be enjoying the game and there is currently a lot of negativity especially on these forums. But two things about that. First you know what state these forums are at and what a good chunk of the fanbase is thinking. So why engage with these ones? I understand doing it for fun I do that exact same thing but you genuinely seem happy that they are here expressing the displeasure with the game. So why engage unless your motivation is to be a -blam- Second, these "haters" you call don't hate Destiny because they despise it. Instead they are fans that are frustrated with what is happening to their game that they care about. Andbyou know what they are the customer and every damn right to express their displeasure with a game that they have invested a lot of time and money into. And lastly to play Devils advocate because I do agree with some of what you said. I completely agree that these people should move on! But not because it would make you enjoy your Destiny experience more but because the Destiny fan base is constantly getting taken advantage of by a greedy developer that doesn't care for them and they deserve better. And as more and more people realize this the more and more posts that you will see on here.

I liked both onslaught and the coil. Both of them eventually got the difficulty stuff turned up a tad too high towards "must have team" for a little bit but I think things like those two is a good direction for the game to take. Plus its a good idea to try to attract younger players. The game pretty much has to do that somehow if its going to continue. It will definitely be interesting to see what the future holds as far as Marathon and this game as well.

So many critics are saying the same thing. After FS they refuse to ever say the Destiny is going to die again. It is truly the Rasputin of live service games. Even Paul Tassi realizes he’s in a live service game burnout. Thats all he really plays. He’s being smart and taking a short break from D2, Diablo and First Ascendant. I think people lose perspective with games these days. Play games you enjoy. It’s a hobby and when it’s not fun then do something else. Fighting to make Bungie create the version of D2 that each player has in their head is beyond absurd.

I also don't think I'd like to have season passes to 4 different amusement parks in one summer. It would eventually get tiring and everything would start looking plasticy and there would really only be one of the amusement parks that I liked. People think the amount of time some of us spend playing Destiny is nuts but I think that is nuts. "Alright I'm done with this mmo time for some mo mmo?" No thanks.

I’ve played other games like Diablo regularly but it’s a lot different than D2. D2 is the only FPS shooter I play anymore. It fills several things I enjoy in gaming FPS, MMO and looter. It hands down has the best shooting mechanics of any game I’ve ever played. So yeah I’ll ride this old horse until its legs are done. Enjoy your weekend man and as always it’s a pleasure chatting with you.
